Template:Deenoewelcome has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. — WOSlinker (talk) 17:33, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Logogatineau.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Logogatineau.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:06, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Talk:Jane Scharf

[edit]

I have nominated Talk:Jane Scharf, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Talk:Jane Scharf. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. TastyCakes (talk) 18:49, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I accidentally applied the Twinkle xfd thing to the talk page instead of the article page and I guess you were the first person to write there. I'll know better for next time! Take care, TastyCakes (talk) 20:12, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

tha joker

[edit]

how is tha joker not importtant? I clearly showed how he is the best upcoming rapper . It is a joke (no pun intended) that wikipedia didn't have an arctical in the first place! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Franklucasofasheville (talkcontribs)

Thank you for your concern - in order to have "Tha Joker" be listed on Wikipedia, the person needs to be meet a certain criteria of notability., and that has to be supported by actual facts from sources. I don't know if you know "Tha Joker" personally, or, if perhaps you are that artist, and I do understand you might feel that person is notable for an article, or that he may be the best upcoming rapper, but that has to be supported by sources - a good example would be if he was featured in a certain music magazine or something of that nature, which does not seem to be the case. The people, including myself, who have submitted the article for deletion, are not questionning the quality of the artist, but rather his notability. If you need more details, please refer to the administrator who has completed the deletion. Best regards! Deenoe 03:36, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you slapped a final notice on 210.18.193.238 ... and he did it again:

I noticed you are a participant of the WikiProject Quebec.

The Outline of Quebec was created a few days ago and is under vigorous development. It fills a gap in Wikipedia's set of outlines. It is the 3rd outline to date about a Canadian province/territory.

Outlines form one of the subsystems of Wikipedia's contents navigation system. For more information on outlines, see Wikipedia:Outlines and Wikipedia:WikiProject Outlines.

The goals for the Outline of Quebec is to complete it to as high a standard of quality as possible, and to make it even better than the Outline of Saskatchewan and the Outline of British Columbia.

Once the Outline of Quebec is completed, it will provide an important example to others creating outlines for the remaining provinces and territories of Canada.

Please take a look at the outline to see if you can notice (and fill in) any missing topics. Pictures would also be nice (the rarer and the more interesting, the better).

Thank you.

File permission problem with File:Dlslogo.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Dlslogo.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 15:49, 16 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
