Chlorenchyma
[edit]Chlorenchyma redirects here, but there is no reference in the main body. 203.171.67.232 (talk) 13:09, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- There is one mention, actually.
Parenchyma cells have a variety of functions: In leaves, they form the mesophyll and are responsible for photosynthesis and the exchange of gases[1], parenchyma cells in the mesophyll of leaves are a specialized parenchymatous tissue known as chlorenchyma (parenchyma with chloroplasts).

This page looks like it's been (at least partly) plagiarized from http://www.biologie.uni-hamburg.de/b-online/e06/06.htm. 64.131.252.13 (talk) 01:02, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- Nonsense. They cover the same topics, but that doesn't add up to plagiarism.Plantsurfer (talk) 07:47, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Definitions
[edit]The introduction states that ground tissue found in plants develops from ground tissue meristem, but in the Sclerenchyma section, the central paragraphs discuss fibres that are products of the primary and secondary vascular cambium. These paragraphs are therefore misplaced in this article, and would be better used in the cell or tissue type sections of plant cell. I therefore propose to move them there unless there are strong objections. Plantsurfer (talk) 13:17, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
ENGVAR of article
[edit]This version of the article has inconsistent spellings (e.g. some "-ize" endings, some "-ise" endings). Throughout "fibre" is used, as it was by the first editor, User:Trondarne. I conclude that it should be in British English, and will add the template and standardize the spellings (not to my preferred Oxford British spelling!). Peter coxhead (talk) 17:16, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
