Better Map Needed

[edit]

The map of the Hai River Basin needs some work. It's divided into colored regions that seem to be political boundaries, and have nothing to do with the basin's drainage area. There's no outline of the area drained by the river. Some geologist somewhere must have a better map of the river's drainage area. —MiguelMunoz (talk) 17:02, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@MiguelMunoz: How is including modern provincial-level boundaries irrelevant? CaradhrasAiguo (leave language) 17:31, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
A river basin is the area drained by the river. It will usually have a distinct outline, but this map has no such outline. It's a good political map of the region, but it's not what it claims to be, which is a map of the basin. See Yellow River Map for a good example of a basin map (also called a "watershed" in America), and notice how the outline contains the entire river. See also the drainage basin article for an explanation. —MiguelMunoz (talk) 08:52, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
