Who decided to call this "far North" and not "Arctic?" I'm fairly certain Arctic is a much more common term for this region. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:18, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Considering the fact that Alaska is not in the Arctic at all, why is it called this? It should be "North" not "Arctic". The Arctic is ocean water only.Presidentbalut (talk) 18:33, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure where you got that rather odd idea, but I can assure you that the Arctic does in fact contain significant amounts of land, including parts of Alaska that are above the Arctic Circle. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:48, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
