first commemorative medal?

[edit]

The adf website says there was a 1967 Anzac commemorative medal, which would make the statement at the start of the article about the 80th anniversary medal being the first false.

The Anzac Commemorative Medallion was not a wearable medal with a place in the order of wear. That and the statement in question: It is the first commemorative medal in the Australian Honours System. is still accurate. The Australian Honours System did not come about until 1975.
