In the section HISTORY OF THE TUK BAND it is said that Barbados was one of the earlier islands to abolish slavery. This is not true. Slavery in the British colonies was abolished nominally in 1834 but continued for four more years, until 1938, under the name "Apprenticeship". Barbados was absolutely no different from most of the other colonies in this respect.
