Useful picture

[edit]

A pic that could be used here. 23:43, Jun 19, 2005 (UTC)

Soldiers of the Polish Army Honour Guard Company, dressed in Polish Navy uniforms, during a ceremony in Warsaw's Piłsudski Square

We can surely use at least a stub on the civilian navy. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 19:06, 28 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Task force

[edit]

Until recently, when switched on, the Polish task force stub generated the comment that the article was supported by the "Polish military history task force" or similar, which included all the Polish armed forces. At present it generates "This article is supported by the historical task force of the Polish Army." which for an English would be taken as just Army, excluding Navy and Air Force. Is this correct, if so, I'll remove the tag from a number of articles that don't relate to the Polish Army. Folks at 137 18:49, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There were some references to 7th Coastal Defense Brigade as the Polish marines. Unfortunately, this is not true. After disbanding the 7th Coastal Defense Division in 1989 and scrapping most of landing ships, there is no amphibious assault unit in the Polish Army. The 7th Coastal Defense Brigade only bears traditions of the 7th Division, and it practices small-scale experimental exercises with amphibious assault, but it's still not amphibious assault unit. At least up to 2007, there was no decision of creating a real amphibious assault unit in the Polish Army. Pibwl ←« 19:38, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FOMOZA unit is no longer under Polish Navy command, now it's under Polish Special Forces Command --Militaryboy (talk) 15:23, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Baltic

[edit]

Pictureof the Polish cruiser "Baltic". Is there an article on this vessel? I cannot find information online about her. Drutt (talk) 15:37, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page setup...

[edit]

Please keep the page clear and meaningful. That means overusing pictures, and just adding them onto the page. Some people that run the Polish Air Force page are getting carried away, and adding pointless aircraft pictures on a Navy page and out of context... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.149.136.201 (talk) 01:39, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Name

[edit]

Should we name it by the official Polish name? - Marynarka Wojenna Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej which means War Navy of the Polish Republic beside just "Polish Navy"? --DumnyPolak (talk) 04:31, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Note,

[edit]

Not sure why someone keeps adding a section that is only designed to ridicule this page. If this continues I will recommend that this issue is recognized as vandalism, and take appropriate steps to deal with this problem. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.48.247.71 (talk) 22:30, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please, consider reading WIkipedia:Etiquette first before naming someone vandal. Thanks, Sir Lothar (talk) 12:49, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
He was correct - it was vandalism. Strange comment, Lothar. (??)50.111.51.247 (talk) 03:35, 26 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Numbers of personnel and ships

[edit]

I'm just Simple Polish navy reservist, but it's strength is less than 8000 men and less than 80 vessels. Check global firepower site. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.219.144.11 (talk) 10:28, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
