fixed pseudonym

[edit]

I found 'but was credited as "George Spelvin" to avoid confusion between his actual surname and the surname of the show's protagonist.[10]' and changed Spelvin to Seldon to conform to what I found in the source. I am writing about it here so we can keep the George Spelvin wikipedia link. Carlm0404 (talk) 05:24, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think the source you are using is incorrect on this point. On page 258 of the book Sherlock Holmes and His Adventures on American Radio, it says that Wendell Holmes used the pseudonym "George Spelvin", not George Seldon. And if you listen to one of the episodes in which he played Watson, you can hear the announcer credit him as "George Spelvin" – for example, at approximately 23:40 in this episode.
