Real Estate Crash

[edit]

This building, which came on the market at the bottom of the real estate crash in 2009, helped cause the failure of Corus Bank when its $144 million loan was not paid. The US gov't confiscated the property and sold it back to new realtors at 60% of the original market value. The price of a starter condo dropped from $400,000 to $169,000.
