Is this (or his son) the same John Gell after which the Via Gellia near Cromford is named?? Linuxlad 19:25, 11 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Later - most seem to agree that Phillip Gell say it was built aroud 1790 to transport lead ore...

And the Gell family name itself, does this have mining connotations??Linuxlad

Most of the inline refs are from primary sources because the article is factual. There is no attempt to judge Gell's actions (see note to article) ronslack 4 September 2011
