Merger

[edit]

Proposal: merge Radio Cavell into Royal Oldham Hospital.

This has a terrible amount of detail, and is not clearly notable. It has been tagged for over a decade for various issues. Let's just merge it, which should be non-controversial. Bearian (talk) 20:40, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - I think a case could be made for its notability as the birthplace of Louise Brown. And in recent weeks, sadly, Greater Manchester has been at the epicentre of the COVID crisis in the UK. Just my view. Dormskirk (talk) 23:05, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Dormskirk: The proposal is to merge Radio Cavell into Royal Oldham Hospital (but I agree that wasn't made very clear). The hospital is definitely notable. Lennart97 (talk) 22:53, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Done, Radio Cavell now redirects here and is mentioned in the lead. Lennart97 (talk) 20:16, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have just made a minor edit of the paragraph on Radio Cavell (to correct form of name and highlight it is a hospital radio service). I don't believe that there is anything controversial in the changes made, I'm just highlighting here that as I have a professional connection to the organisation and wanted to be transparent over motive of making the edit is solely to improve readability.
