Nomenclature

[edit]

Every source that I consider to be authoritative (Smithsonian, link not available because it's a JavaScript), USDA Plants Database [1]) has reclassified the river oat (or Northern sea oat) from Uniola latifolia to Chasmanthium latifolium. Any reason Wikipedia editors shouldn't jump on this?Carlaclaws (talk) 03:15, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pygmy Burrowing Owl?

[edit]

I can't find a wikipedia page for any such beast. Googling for it turns up a few pictures and a lot of copies of this article. Is there an article about the Florida ornithologist discovering things about the pygmy burrowing owl that can be linked to? If so, it might contain a more common name so that we could cross-link things appropriately. KeithyIrwin (talk) 01:55, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Elsewhere

[edit]

It thrives in lots of environments; it's planted ornamentally in downtown Chicago...any documentation on areas besides seashores and southern areas? DavidOaks (talk) 13:38, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
