Name[edit]

Historically, these are invariably called "Agriculture" Departments, or, like the fed, "Department of Agriculture." This extended name is almost WP:PR, grinding some bureaucratic axe, and not really that readable/understandable to a casual reader. I live in Vermont and had to work to discover that this was one of a few cabinet level offices. And only because I know where to look to find that information. Also harder to set up on a national template, with the awkward and non-standard name. I think it should be changed to "Agriculture" and redirected from here. Student7 who makes really brilliant suggestions! (does it help to extend the name? (talk) 14:37, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
