Should we mention the similar Oxford 3000 (https://www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/about/oxford3000; https://www.mondly.com/blog/oxford-3000-most-important-words-english/), which also is a list of most common words slightly modified to include a few words that are of special interest to English-language learners but are not so common in general material ("passport" -- not present in the NGSL -- is one mentioned for the 3000, as is "apple," which is in the NAWL). At the moment the Oxford 3000 does not have a Wikipedia entry. Kdammers (talk) 00:33, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No, we should not mention similar topics. Veverve (talk) 09:58, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Is there a Wikipedia policy on this? I have seen linking to similar topics on other pages. Are those linkings a violation of policy?Kdammers (talk) 18:29, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Linking to related WP articles in a WP:SEEALSO section is different from going WP:OFFTOPIC. Veverve (talk) 20:17, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
