Noel Stanton (1926-2009)
[edit]I guess the article ought to reflect Noel's death. An anonymous editor attempted to do so by editing a source, but that is surely the wrong way to do it! I've flagged up Noel's dates, but some better change would be helpful. John Campbell (talk) 14:48, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
- @John Campbell: It's not apparent to me how the article in its current state needs changing. It's not about Stanton and I suspect it will take a while before the history books can talk about the changes in the group which likely have followed his death. We can only write what we have sources for. Daask (talk) 00:31, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
Bugbrooke Community
[edit]Soon after moving to Northampton,I learnt that the Jesus Fellowship are sometimes known as the Bugbrooke Community. This is implicit in the article rather than explicit.Vorbee (talk) 21:39, 12 June 2016 (UTC)

Name change from Jesus Army to Jesus Fellowship
[edit]The subject of this article is the Jesus Fellowship Church, which has for a few decades publicised itself under the name Jesus Army. However that name is no longer in use, so most continuing references to 'The Jesus Army' are now perhaps misleading. I propose this is addressed by changing the title of the article to 'Jesus Fellowship Church' and replacing all references to 'Jesus Army' except quotations, JA specific items and a reference to the name change, as for all intents and purposes the information in this article now relates to what is now known as Jesus Fellowship Church.
An example of how this continued name-duality is confusing: the line "the Jesus Army has a comparatively high proportion of young members" - well the Jesus Army no longer exists as an appropriated identity, so "they" don't. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aidanashby (talk • contribs) 11:53, 28 January 2019 (UTC)
I'm not sure how much of the current article would continue to apply to the Jesus fellowship Church. Historically it's true for the Jesus Army. Maybe this article needs to be regarded as a historic record. --John Campbell (talk) 11:12, 31 January 2019 (UTC)
Are the Jesus Fellowship disbanding
[edit]It was announced on the Radio Four Six O'Clock News tonight (May 28 2019) that the Jesus Fellowship are disbanding following reports of sexual abuse by its members. If any one can find reliable sources for these allegations, they could go in the article and "is" would be replaced by "was" (although obviously, it would have to respect biographies of living people).
