First hybrid?[edit]

The article states that the TS030 was the first hybrid entered in the FIA WEC. This seems incorrect. Audi entered their hybrid version in the Spa 6 hour race, Toyota debuted the TS030 a race later, at Le Mans. Bastencate (talk) 22:36, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Car photo[edit]

I was wondering if we could use one of the official photos from Toyota's Flickr page; if not, maybe one from the website? https://secure.flickr.com/photos/toyotauk/sets/72157629026119479/with/7314285772/ FstrthnU (talk) 08:55, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

They are not under an appropriate Creative Commons license for Wikipedia use. A free image will be available eventually, we don't need a temporary fair use photo for now. The359 (Talk) 14:40, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Correct Team?[edit]

The team that runs this car in the Le Mans series, is listed in the infobox is the Toyota Company, however the official team website is named Toyota Hybrid Racing. Should this be recognised and a separate page started? --Drumncars1996 (talk) 18:54, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The team is entered in the WEC as Toyota Racing, run by Toyota Motorsport GmbH. The359 (Talk) 19:03, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'll review this. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 01:55, 11 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • What makes these sites reliable sources?
  • Toyota last competed in sports car racing in 1999: needs to be something like "Prior to the development of the TS030 Hybrid, Toyota last competed..."
  • the first car undertook a three-day, private test session at Circuit Paul Ricard, where it was planned to run for 40,000 kilometres (25,000 mi).: not quite right; the source doesn't say it was going to run 40,000 km at Circuit Paul Ricard (which would be hard to achieve in three days!).
  • The crash at Paul Ricard is mentioned twice in consecutive sections; the second mention could be abbreviated.

-- I've copyedited; the prose is workmanlike and good enough for GA. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 15:35, 11 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
