Bishop Henry Phillips

[edit]

Is the Bishop Henry Phillips linked to here the one actually meant? The link is to a Caucasian Episcopal bishop who was not ordained as such until about a quarter-century after the time frame discussed, and who would have been only around 30 years old at the time here, based on his having played college football at Sewanee only about a decade earlier. It seems unlikely that he could have done enough for black people in the decade he had been out of school to get a college named for himself. 2600:1004:B156:62FF:3049:98EE:3C71:36AA (talk) 21:44, 11 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
