Tilly older than Cricket

In her character description, it currently says Tilly is Cricket's older sister. But I don't recall them ever saying which one is older or younger. I'm going to remove it for now, but if someone can remember a specific episode where they say she's older, it can be added back. Ages are generally irrelevant to a series, as we know people age; it should work no different for characters. Unless there's something important about a particular age, especially at the beginning of the series of if it's continually brought up throughout the series, we don't need to report it. I wrote yesterday an argument on why Tilly should be listed as Cricket's older sister. It was reverted due to not having reliable sources. Here are some more reliable sources on Tilly being the older sister.

Since nobody seems to object, I will be adding the changes. 2601:600:9080:A4B0:FD23:851:F428:6510 (talk) 01:38, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Names as per credits

Why do we need a sentence saying "The series' main characters are the members of the Green family"? The section is already named "Main characters", so it's redundant. And why not just list them as "Cricket Green", "Tilly Green", etc. instead of having to have a separate sentence to convey that information? It's wildly unnecessary. Why say in 11 words what can just as easily be conveyed in four? -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 20:48, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

OK, now that you finally show up here, let me explain – MOS:TVCAST is clear: All names should be referred to as credited, or by common name supported by a reliable source. There is no "wiggle room" here – you either go with the credited name, or you have to show a relative preponderance of Secondary sources showing a different WP:COMMONNAME.
Now, with that out of the way, there are two issues here: 1) how to name the Greens, and 2) how to name secondary characters like Remy.
On the latter, I think there is no wiggle room at all here: Remy is credited as just "Remy" in the end credits, so he should be listed as just "Remy". In the character summary itself, it may be appropriate to note that his last name is Remington, though that may not be strictly necessary – instead, the character summary can be worded something like "Remy (voiced by Zeno Robinson) is Cricket's best friend whom he meets shortly after moving to Big City. His parents, Russell and Rashida Remington, are rich, and he struggles with his self-confidence." This both follows MOS:TVCAST, and gets across that his surname is "Remington". Problem solved.
On the former, it's complicated – the show's front credits clearly say "Cricket", "Tilly", "Bill" and "Gramma". However, the shows end credits list them as "Cricket Green", "Tilly Green", "Bill Green" and "Gramma Alice". This is why I didn't object when JDDJS changed Gramma's listing in this edit. So, we have the option with the Green family of following either the front credits, or the end credits, or a combination of both (kind of what we do now). For the record, I think the "front credits" should be primary over the "end credits" (front credits always strike me as the "most official version" under WP:PRIMARY), so I think we should keep what we currently have, and even take the 'Main' cast section back to what we had in this version. But at least this one is arguable. But this section should not be changed from the current version until a clear consensus is demonstrated to switch to the end-credit naming over the front-credit naming.
So, in conclusion – the current way Remy, etc. are handled is correct as per guideline, and should not be changed. But the Green family situation is arguable, so now let's have a discussion about it. --IJBall (contribstalk) 21:16, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Like you said, the Greens ARE still credited as the Greens in the end credits. The intro is just that, an intro, so the actual credits should take precedence as the source of actual credit. And again, having to add an extra sentence to say their last name is Green instead of just listing their name AS Green is highly unnecessary; information should be presented in the most straightforward, logical manner for readability's sake. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 21:36, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
But you don't to get to decide that on your own. Let's see what other editors have to say. But my point on your Remy part of the edit still stands – that part was not correct under the guideline. --IJBall (contribstalk) 21:44, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If it's names per credits, then whether opening or ending credits, we can include the credited names. If one differs from the other, I guess we can go with the one that has more information, like a last name. Amaury22:25, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
To be clear, even by the end credits, it's "Gramma Alice", not "Gramma Alice Green". So that part of Cyberlink420's edit was also incorrect. --IJBall (contribstalk) 22:33, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I think that we should add the characters' last names no matter what the credits say. The other Disney Channel shows don't list those characters' surnames in the credits, but they're listed on the shows' Wikipedia pages. Either we add the characters' surnames here or remove them in the other ones! 2603:6010:8B00:44FF:5CFE:D49E:E836:C3E1 (talk) 00:08, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Can I add this into article

Because Remy Zero performed Save Me.

Phoenix is Not a Guest Character

Why are we listing Phoenix in the Guest Characters section? Just because she only speaks in two episodes doesn't mean we shouldn't add her to the recurring characters list. We know who performs her vocal effects in other episodes! 2603:6010:8B00:44FF:1DA0:F521:B62D:B24E (talk) 22:04, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
