The Yakut Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (Template:Lang-ru; Template:Lang-sah[a]), also known as Soviet Sakha, Soviet Yakutia or the Yakut ASSR (Template:Lang-ru, Yakutskaya ASSR), was an autonomous republic of the Russian SFSR within the Soviet Union.[1]
History
It was created on 27 April 1922,[citation needed] during the Yakut revolt, and was transformed into the Sakha Republic in 1991.[1]
