From Wiktionary: Landlocked (of a country, geographical region, etc.) Surrounded by land (having no borders with the sea). Lake Champlain is connected by canals to the St. Lawrence and Hudson Rivers. Sincerely, HopsonRoad (talk) 16:57, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Shirley Jackson’s The Lottery

It isn’t the most flattering thing to include in Residents > In fiction, but it’s noteworthy that Shirley Jackson’s iconic short fiction was written about a fictional town in her home state of Vermont… Jayske (talk) 13:41, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling of Francophone

I edited Francophone to be capitalized, as this is accepted in most dictionaries and encyclopedias, including Wikipedia and Wiktionary (see, for example, Wikipedia entry "Francophone Candadians"). This was reverted before based on only one dictionary. If you're going to revert a correction, please make it consistent with usage in Wikipedia and related wikis, and based on more than a single source.
