Ownership history
[edit]The subdivisions of the acreage presumably trace divisions of the estates of Henry Fairfield Osborn Sr.'s descendants. Henry Sr.'s eldest son Alexander Perry Osborn (1884-1951) apparently left the castle itself to his son Alexander Perry Osborn Jr. (1917-1974) who left it to his widow (I once saw an invitation to an event at "Castle Rock...the home of Mrs. A.P. Osborn Jr." in the 1970s) before it passed out of the family. It would be good to trace the ownership of the castle as it got separated from surrounding lands. 71.105.190.227 (talk) 19:57, 14 June 2024 (UTC)
