Thousands of people have been killed and injured in the Gaza war. Among them are women and children. As a result, the Muslims of Bangladesh have boycotted the products of various companies, including Coca Cola, which are related to Israel. There is a heated discussion in Bangladesh about these boycotts. That is why the sales of Bangladeshi product Mojo soft drink has increased tremendously and compared to 2023 the sales of Coca Cola in Bangladesh has decreased by 60 percent this year (2024).[5]

From every bottle of Mojo sold, 1 tk will go to aid Palestine.[6] On 2 January 2024, Sheikh Shamim Uddin, chairman of Akij Group, presented a check of 50 lakh taka to the Palestinian ambassador.[7] Through the World Food Program (WFP), Akij Welfare Trust and Mojo have so far donated Tk 6,17,50,000 to Gaza and Tk 1,50,00,000 to Palestine Embassy.[8]
