Sureños
Sureños (Spanish: for "Southerners") are a group of Chicano street gangs with origins in Southern California.There are about 500 Sureño Hispanic gangs in Los Angeles County representing over 50% of the gang memberbership. They are more geographically distributed throughout the region and are found in significant numbers in the San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley, the Beach commmunities, Long Beach, Compton and South Los Angeles. The gang's influence has grown to include every major city in the United States, including cities in the great plains, such as Tulsa, Oklahoma.
