Gordon is a suburb on the north shore of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, located about 15 kilometers from the Sydney central business district and is located on a major transport artery, the Pacific Highway and the intersection of Ryde and Mona Vale Roads which form a link between the northern beaches, Homebush Bay and the St George District and Sutherland Shire. Gordon's railway station on the North Shore Line of CityRail with frequent commuter services.
It is the seat of the Ku-ring-gai local council area which includes Lindfield, Killara, Pymble, Turramurra and St Ives. It has a shopping centre with many shops and restaurants and is the childhood home of the politician Clover Moore and model, Elle Macpherson.

East Gordon
Sydney's largest flying fox colony is located in a ravine in East Gordon.

- Gordon East Public School, a government primary school, located on Rosedale Road.
- Gordon West Public School, a government primary school, located on Ryde Road in West Pymble. The precinct where the school is located was previous called West Gordon however it was reclassified as part of West Pymble in 1990 - the primary school retains the original name because there was already another public primary school called West Pymble Public School.
- Ravenswood School for Girls, an all-female, kindergarten, primary and secondary independent school
Transportation
Railway
Gordon railway station has an important heritage relationship with its landscaped gardens. It is an example of a historic Edwardian station being preserved for later generations. The station consists of 3 platforms with the center one being used as both a through line to either Hornsby further to the north or back to the Sydney central business district and as a terminating road, mainly during the morning and afternoon peak hours. There are two ramps to access the footbridge serving as the station entrance and platform number 1. lifts for wheel chair access serve all platforms.
Buses
Outside the entrance to Gordon railway station is a bus stop, where many buses are terminated on the completion of their routes. The bus stop services various routes including those to St Ives, West Pymble and Pymble. These are operated by two different bus companies, Shorelink and Forest Coach Lines.
