Family Business

Family businesses are a very important part of the fabric of the UAE economy. This is mainly due to the fact that the laws of the UAE required international companies to have a "Local" sponsor, who held 51% or more of the shares of the operation, for enterprises operating outside the free zones. The role of agent grew as international firms started doing business in the UAE and the UAE family holdings grew with them.
