Admin

Thanks for your consideration. It's nice to know someone has noticed my work and think that I could be admin material. To be honest, I have thought about it, but right now I'm just content with being your regular average Wiki editor. Maybe down the road in a couple months I'd consider a nomination but right now I'm trying to be active again on the projects I've joined and helping out wherever I can. Thanks again and hope you're having a great time in your admin work! ----Ðysepsion † Speak your mind 03:10, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the above article should be removed but have changed the tag to copyvio as the article is a cut and paste from [1]. The outcome should be the same. Euryalus 09:40, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Evantheemo2 is at it again. Can he be blocked indef as a vandal-only account? --SigPig |SEND - OVER 16:12, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Try reporting the user at AIV. Jmlk17 20:23, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User names

I reported User:だってばよ and was told that Wikipedia:Username policy allows non-Latin characters and was basically told to sit down and shut up. Corvus cornix 03:59, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I don't intend to sit and shut up.  :) Thanks. Corvus cornix 04:32, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hah...excellent! Jmlk17 04:34, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion review

HHO gas and Brown's gas were deleted, in spite of a majority of editors voting to keep. As an admin who voted in the AfD, can you comment on the deletion review? — Omegatron 14:02, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

lol nice article on User:Jmlk17....... It's really nice... By the way how do you make sure that your image has proper image copyright licenses?

Woops!

Sorry about the misreport of a vandal for blocking... I'd just had one IP vandalize the Hamas page 4 times in 20 minutes, which was followed by a very similar vandalism from a different IP a few minutes later, and thought it was the same one at it again. Anyway, sorry! *blush* Poindexter Propellerhead 00:44, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:UAA

Regarding the template you left me on my user talk: I thought the user name (ZzzyYyxxX) resembled zzzyx11, and admin. If you didn't think so, that fine, but please don't template me or any other experienced users. I find it insulting. Also, you yourself later blocked the same user. --(Review Me) R ParlateContribs@ (Let's Go Yankees!) 12:36, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alright. My apologies. Jmlk17 01:46, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

my RFA

Thank you for supporting my RFA. I hope I will live up to your expectation. Let me know if you need any help, or I make any mistake. --ChoChoPK (球球PK) (talk | contrib) 00:14, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Thanks for blocking the individual that was repeatedly vandalizing my talk page. You help was much appreciated. Trusilver 07:35, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

Thanks for support, you must be doing something right, you don't seem to attract as many abusive messages/page blankings/obscenities as me! (:. Jimfbleak 07:36, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, give me time; became an admin only a week ago lol. Take care :) Jmlk17 07:39, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted Page

I am a new to using wikipedia, excuse me for any obvious mistakes... A page I created seems to have been deleted by you for reasons I don't understand. The was "Null&Void". You say the band are of no interest to anyone which is untrue. How do I reinstate the page? Andygozindy 15:04, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's not a matter of interest, but rather notability. Jmlk17 12:43, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So how do I convince of notability.....and get the page back up? I tried to get the page back up and it deleted itself. There is more than one mention of this band within wikipedia. I thought I would create a page to explain who they were. Thanks

First off, what was the name of the band again? Secondly, no worries about being new. Sorry that a deletion conversation is coming right off the bat, but let's see if we can get it figured out... Jmlk17 02:53, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ernest H. Cates

Why would you even consider deleting the article "Ernest H. Cates" ?

For lack of notability?! He is one of the most notable judoka in the US. The Kodokan is very stingy with its higher ranks, and nobody is awarded an 8th dan unless they have made outstanding contributions to the sport. As a comparison, Mike Swain is only a 5th dan, and Judo legend Gene LeBell was promoted to 9th dan just 2 years ago. I suspect this article was proposed for deletion by someone with a grudge. If Wikipedia isn't going to include articles about a judoka like Ernie Cates, then Wikipedia is a very poor source for martial arts information.

Eric Moss founder DojoWeb.com

Easy, it had a tag on it for almost 6 days, saying it needed expansion and such to fit a notability ideal. Yet no one did anything to help the article, nor did it seem to have much of anything to offer...it was deleted for not having sources, nor showing any reason to have it due to the lack. No, you da man

Hello. Thank you for the barnstar! I'm honored. Happy editing! Yours sincerely, Eddie 03:36, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Searchwriter 04:37, 20 June 2007 (UTC) Appreciate the due diligence, but a profile of the Pacific Northwest's largest law firm brandished with the blanket assertion that it is patently self-promotion or blatant advertising overlooks the historical narrative description of the entry, or consideration of the subject matter on its merits. Indeed, contemporary legal firms, such as Perkins Coie, Davis Wright Tremaine and several other leading firms referencedin Wikipedia, who are of either lesser size, stature or age, have not been subjected to such scrutiny. Why rule out this Northwest landmark institution?[reply]
