Birthdate

You mentioned two birthdates of (Dec 18 and in info box August 1) Dale DaBone. Place the appropriate birthdate. Thank you NAHID 18:28, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please provide sources

Hi, I noticed you uploaded Image:Ateensgh.jpg for use in the A*Teens article, in the future please provide sources for all images uploaded. This image has currently been marked as having no source and will be deleted without your action within 7 days. Please provide a link to the place you copied this image from, thank you.  ALKIVAR 02:14, 12 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your prompt addition of a source to this image, I wish more people were this quick! Then we wouldn't have an 8,000+ item backlog of nosourced images.  ALKIVAR 02:46, 12 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

May I ask what the point of this is? Surely the much simpler and straighforward Category:ABBA is entirely adequate for all of the articles atht have now found their way into this unnecessary subcat. Graham 23:22, 2 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Redundant category

Hi! I just saw you edited Elva kvinnor i ett hus deleting the "redundant category". Read the discussion here and you'll see that the category ABBA is for anything related with ABBA. I created the category ABBA RELATED but it wasn't accepted. Thanks, fizzerbear 01:38, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I agree completely that it belongs in Category:ABBA. I removed that category because the article is already included in it indirectly. It's in Category:Agnetha Fältskog albums, which is in Category:Agnetha Fältskog, which is in Category:ABBA. My understanding of WP policy is that an article shouldn't be included in a general category if it's already in a more specific sub-category. Pburka 03:13, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re your recent comment that the dream sequence in the movie wasn't used in the video for "Name of The Game". It was, it least in the UK. It's also the same video on my Australian release of the Abba Videos DVD. Perhaps there was another video for NOTG that didn't use the movie footage, but the video I've seen is lifted straight out of the film. Graham 22:44, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Pierre_woodman.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. List of drama films

Do you know why in List of drama films there's a box on the right with "Films by genre" that includes comedy, horror, fantasy, suspense, but not drama? It shows up on the List of comedy films and the List of fantasy films too, but always excluding drama. How can we get drama in there with the other genres? dani. 06:06, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ryan Idol

Fizzerbear: when you upload a DVD or VHS cover, please be sure to select the "DVDcover" or "VHScover" licensing tag. The Ryan idol oimage was deleted form the article by a bot that automatically deletes images without licensing information. I have restored it now. Thanks, and keep up the great work. Image Tagging Image:Dick.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Dick.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rory096 21:35, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use image

Please stop removing fair use images, this can be considered vandalism. If you have a concern please discuss on talk pages. Just because you think something is not fair use, it doesn't mean it isn't. The cover of an album or single is fair use! If you remove the picture from the top of the article because it's doesn't fit the wiki criterias, so try to put it in the other place of the article. Again: DO NOT REMOVE, JUST CHANGE THE SPOT!

Hello, Fizzerbear. You did not said what article/image you're talking about, so I could understand you criticism. By looking into your contributions, I believe you may be talking about the use of this album cover in the Mamonas Assassinas article. I removed the image because it was being used to illustrate the band, and not the album itself. I have no objections so far for the image being used to illustrate the album, as you used it. Also, I can remember of no reason for me not doing that myself, sorry. I Can make mistakes sometimes. Hopefully, this is a Wiki. Whenever you have another complain/suggestion/question, just leave a civil message on my talk page, and I'll be glad to contact you back. Best regards, --Abu Badali 16:18, 2 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Luiz fernando guimaraes.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Luiz fernando guimaraes.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Orphaned fair use image (Image:Bandits film.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Bandits film.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Quentin X 12:21, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

List of male porn stars

It is redundant since there is already Category:Male porn stars, which contains the same information; since categories are easier to maintain than lists, I have nominated the list for deletion. Note that I'll not nominate the category for deletion. Tizio, Caio, Sempronio 14:22, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image:VanDamage.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:VanDamage.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Rossrs 02:41, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cherylbaker1.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
