Thanks for offering to translate. The planning of translations is currently underway at User:Ral315/Board 2007. Ral315 » 15:52, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

:)

You should really add a signature book and see how much you get. Some get quite a few sigs o.o

CrAzY 2007 21:52, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To be honest I am not a big fan of signature books :). I don't mind people making some but I normally don't sign them. So making one would be calling the WP:KETTLE at me ;). But thanks for the proposal! -- lucasbfr talk 21:56, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wow... so he has a whole list of them?

I'll be more than happy to go through all those inflammatory userboxes and mark them all for mfd. This sort of garbage is not acceptable on Wikipedia.--Flamgirlant 11:28, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

...and it looks like I've missed the busWikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Selfworm/Userboxes/NotCatholic. I'll renominate them.--Flamgirlant 11:31, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Bossaball article was recently deleted due to copyright violation. I recreated a stub. You just deleted it because it was "about a club or group that does not assert significance". But it's not about a club or group, it's about a sport. It gets 60000+ hits on Google. There are a couple dozen links to Bossaball from other wikipedia pages. Sounds like it meets the notability requirements to me. So instead of deleting other people's work for no reason, make it better. Rracecarr 15:07, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Were you aware that I had very recently removed the speedy tag from this page? Did you really think this was Blatent advertising? DES (talk) 17:11, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't consider thst it was "blatent" as it simply named the band, did not give a link, did not in any real sense advertise beyond mentioning its existance, did not praise the band with so much as the word "good". Do you really feel that this is Blatent spam, on a user page at that? Perhaps my view is out of step here. You should know that I have raise the matter at WP:AN asking if my views have any support or not. DES (talk) 17:56, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

sure i guess you could just disregard it. it's not a big deal

however

"Over the next few days, Wikipedia should allow editors to work on Boh3m3's entry. It's been protected in order to prevent further editing for a while now; but I'm fairly confident I can bring it back, at least temporarily. Since I don't know as much about him as some of you do, I'll need your help.

Boh3m3's deleted page

Page undelete discussion

We might need to write an article off of Wikipedia first before handing it to admins for approval. If you want to get started now, keep in mind nearly every bit of info must be sourced. Ideally, any pictures must be taken by YOU or signed off on by their creators.

EDIT: Page is back. We still need a picture of boh3m3 that has been signed off by its creator for noncommercial use: see the licensing information under Smosh's or Barats and Bereta's picture for a better idea of what I'm talking about. Pictures you might have taken of him at "As One" are acceptable."

that is my entire argument on why the Ben_Going article is bias, advertising and needs review for ethics. Heideggger 17:41, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Please take a look at Ben Going's deletion review, which is in doubt, and then his recent AfD. If you want, look at my 6 post history at boh3m3.net. Nothing bad happened. The page's detractors, however, had a good amount of meat puppets at the AfD. user:heideggger is taunting me. Ichormosquito 22:10, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It took me quite a while to understand what all this was about. As a Checkuser Clerk (and to be perfectly clear I am not a Checkuser myself), I can't comment on any ongoing or ended Checkuser request. -- lucasbfr talk 08:51, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I was just following Heideggger; I had no idea you were the clerk. Ichormosquito 09:09, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sarkozy

Hey

It's mentioned a couple of times in the article he was born in Budapest. Only the template at right showed 'Paris'. That's why I changed that one (and added it in the introduction). Have you changed them all?

2007 NEXTEL All-Star Challenge

Recently you warned me for vandalizing Wikipedia after editing the article 2007 NEXTEL All-Star Challenge. I had a look at the history of the article to see if my account had been hacked into, and my account wasn't in the history. The only user who has vandilized it is DX-Kevo. I would like to know why my account has been credited with this edit and would you please take the warning off my talk page because if I do it I may get blocked. Re: My concern about your username

Hi. I'm new here. I reviewed the username policy and found no conflict. What section do you believe it violates? My username expresses my own personal opinion that wikis are politically structured in a republican form and insinuates nothing of my affiliation with this or other wikis.

I read the discussion I somehow managed to rouse on the administrator notice board. I can only assume Crazytales was offended by my opposition to their Rfa and has resorted to personal attacks.

I am making every effort to ensure Wikipedia is of high scholarly quality.

I note that you have aslleged that I have infringed copyright, and you have deleted factual material from the article I have writtemn on this subject.

I am very disappointed that you have made this unfounded allegation, and I suggest that you retract it and that you reinstate the material you have deleted, which is factual in nature.

For your information, Trend Drinks are a well known regional soft drink supplier in South Australia, and they are a supplier of ginger beer to the Kenewek Lowender in the Copper Coast region of South Australia. Their history is interesting, and is parto f a tradition of South Australian independent niche market food producers.

The material I have presented is factual in nature.

If you wish to remove it, then I invite you to reinstate the information with your own original material so that thne quaklity of information is maintained.

Otherwise, kindly reinstate the material you have deleted. I consider your precipitous action could be regareded as vandalism- I hope that is not the case. I leave it up to you to do somnething positive and constructive in the near future. Fitzpatrickjm 10:01, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Further to my earlier comment. please note that i am from South australia, which is where Trend drinks are made. I must query whether you have any personal knowledge of Trend drinks or whether you have researched the subject! I do await your reply with some interest! You're wrong! I have been in communication with the proprietor of the website, and they have confirmed:

1. The material I have presented is a matter of historical fact; and

2. They do not claim copyright in historical facts.

Accordingly, there is no basis to your allegations.

In the circumstances, I believe it is fair for you to provide an apology and to retract your erroneous (and serious) allegation.

Needless to say, I will be reinstating trhe factual material so that Wikipedia can present the facts!

Also, for the record, I note that you have not presented any evidence of qualifications in the field of copyright law.

I am a friend of the user TomitakePrincess. Though you approved her unblock request, her IP address has been blocked, and she cannot even edit her own talk page. Deletion Request

Hey, its Darth Skynyrd. I'm sorry but I can't log in as Dusty669211 b/c I forgot the password to it. And if you think I made it up and I'm just trying to delete somebody I don't like's file, just look at Dusty669211's page history. I changed it to its current, humourous state like at least month ago, and I think that if Dusty669211 was someone else besides me, they would have reverted my changes a long time ago.

I know what you're thinking, but you're just going to haveto trust me. I know I've been a real wikipain in the butt in the past, but I'm really trying to make a change now. All I'm asking is that you delete User:Dusty669211's userpage and his subpages.

Sincerely,

DarthSkynyrd

Listing a business

Thank you for your answer. I will apologize ahead of time for being so ignorant when it comes to this site. I have tried to create a page about Luzier Personalized Cosmetics. A company that originated in Kansas City in 1923, building still stands and is listed on the Kansas City Historical Registry. Even after reading your suggestions I'm still not quite sure why it would have been deleted. If I'm wanting to list Luzier Personalized Cosmetics and a brief description of their history how would I go about doing this without having the entry deleted?

Chalenging deletion

Hello Lucas,

Wellcome back from your wikibreak. Hope exams went well.

I noticed that you deleted my article on the company Welltec. I do realize that companies should not be advertised, however, other articles on companies in the same line of business are active on wikipedia. Please tell me what I need to correct to not have the article deleted.

Gintas K

What's the status on the Gintas K article? If possible I'd like to switch the current bio with a new bio in order to avoid this indeterminate delay. Thanks. Epiphyte 18:43, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done see the talk page. OTRS is slow indeed :). For everyone, I have a very intermittent connection at the moment and will not respond swiftly to queries. I'll try to avoid admin work meanwhile. My apologies. -- lucasbfr talk 21:26, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Board elections

I see you have been a busy bee! You might like to have a look at the translated hustings for DragonFire1024. I found that the english text was poorly written, and the ideas expressed are either vague or ambiguous. Thus the translation has posed me some with some difficulty. Because of this, I am not sure that I have given the text the correct meaning. Let me know. Ohconfucius 02:22, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aabaig | Unblock and change of name requested

It all depends on whether or not your company meets the criteria for inclusion and shows why in the article. I hope that helps :) -- lucasbfr talk 11:24, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Yes thankyou, I just visited the WP:WORP page and observed the following:

The WP:CORP page says that "Organizations are usually notable if the scope of activities are national or international in scale and information can be verified by sources that are reliable and independent of the organization. In other words, they satisfy the primary criterion above."

My article contained authentic secondary sources from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan as well as the Associate of Chartered Certified Accountants of which our firm is a member. Both these organizations are Internationally recognized governing bodies. The links given by me contain the mention of our firms name on their own websites. Moreover, our offices are also located in Newcastle - UK as well as in Leicestershire - UK in addition to Karachi - Pakistan.

The WP:CORP page further says:

"Other criteria are:

  * Organizations whose activities are local in scope are usually not notable unless verifiable information from reliable independent sources can be found. (I gave those sources}
  * The organization’s longevity, size of membership, or major achievements, or other factors specific to the organization may be considered. We are one of the first few Pakistani Firms to be given the status of ACCA Accredited Employers and among the very few Accountancy Firms to have better Quality Control Ratings as verified by our regulatory Body, and the link of which is already given by me on that deleted page

The WP:CORP page further says:

Information on products and services should generally be included in the article on the company itself, unless the company article is so large that this would make the article unwieldy. In that case, the discussion of the company's products and services should be broken out from the company article in summary style.

If the product or service is notable, it can be broken out into its own article. If it is not notable, it should not be broken out into its own article but should have whatever verifiable information about it that exists presented within an article that has a broader scope, such as an article that deals with all of the company's products and services.

If a non-notable product or service has been written about in its own article, be bold and rename, refactor, or merge the article into an article with a broader scope, such as the company's article, creating it if necessary.

The whole theme of the deleted page was informative and no where were we using marketing language. The page was only for information purposes and a very BRIEF info about the firm and a summary of its CLIENTS / SERVICES.

I will appreciate if you would take the data posted by me on that page and create an article yourself under the name of A A Baig & Co. in the category of Accounting Firms.

One more thing, please visit these pages on Wiki:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Rhodes_Sidat_Hyder

Also in Karachi, also an accountancy firm like ours.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smith_and_Williamson

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenon_Group

Both Smith as well as Tenon are "LOCAL" firms restricted to UK and not international. Yet they have their pages.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talal_Abu-Ghazaleh_Organization_%28TAGorg%29 Another similar case

Thanks and regards
