Re: Hattrick Map
Greenland is not a FIFA country, therefore it is black (like the Western Sahara and many islands near Oceania). The reason I colored non-FIFA countries black is that the Hattrick Developers have said before that their minimum criteria for adding a nation is that it is FIFA recognized. -DMurphy 02:59, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- Nevermind, I see what you mean now. Thanks, I'll change it. -DMurphy 03:03, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

Warning users
Hi, I see that you have been warning users who vandalize Wikipedia. Good job! We need people like you to help keep an eye on the few people who don't want to be constructive around here. One thing I did notice is that you are adding the test templates directly. Its a good idea to substitiute the vandalism warning templates when you add them to a user's talk page. You can do this by writing, for example, {{subst:test2}} instead of {{test2}}. What this does is put the text of the template directly into the page, instead of a link to it. This helps reduce server load and also means that vandals can't do a mass change of the notices by altering the master template - which does happen.
I hope this is useful. If you haven't checked them out yet, take a look at the Recent Changes Patrol and Counter Vandalism Unit articles which have lots of useful tips and ideas for helping work against vandalism. Again, keep up the good work, you're doing a great job. Best, Gwernol 16:34, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
- You're welcome. Glad to have you on board. Best, Gwernol 15:51, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
Adding the date
Gotcha, will do. :) --Fang Aili 說嗎? 14:36, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the Redirect
I'm the guy who just wrote the article on Nur_Yalman, except that I started his surname with a small "y". I tried to redirect it, but found that in the 30 seconds after I posted, you'd already done this. And from Poland, nonetheless, while I'm in Chicago. Thanks for being so watchful and prompt. Interlingua talk 14:01, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Formatting dates
Thanks for the hint. Just a word of warning though, it's not advisable to add a 'living people' category to the pages I'm adding, as in many cases I don't know if the individual is actually still alive (unless they are currently playing, in which case that is safe). Best, markspearce

Hey. Thanks for adding the db tag. I myself was adding the tag but got edit-conflicted with you. I made that article due to a spelling mistake (wanted to make a cat). Keep up the great work. - Aksi_great (talk) 14:34, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Wikipedia
Actually some cretin is vandalizing the Wikipedia articles claiming that he is an Administrator and "Consul". It is time to get rid of all pro- and post communist imbecils with strong loyalities to Poland not understanding the DEMOCRACY and the role the WikiPedia might and should play in modern history of Republic of Poland 20 years from now.
This include the moron with "Kpjas" who while claiming to be the founder is really damaging to Wikipedia development. Very limited with his perspective of view on the world, naive and uneducated despite that allegedly holds a degree in the fireld of medical trade. Doctors are NOT tought how to think but what to think, and we can see it all over with this unseducated individual vandalising the pages in both Polish and English languages. I would vote to remove Kpjas from his function as a founder and block him permanently from any form of editing Wikipedia. We have here a classic example of very uneducated attempting to play smart colorfull but extremally dumb agresive personality destroing the real democratic point of view on frequently fabricated history of communist Poland and the mafia of reds! Who is that stupid clown? Get rid of him before the Polish Version of Wikipedia will be a distorted peace of communist poin of view. Also there is a group of active military whoo are brain washed and defending the nationalistic point of view not acceptable to the unbiased and democratic publications including the internet. Military personell must follow the orders and thy are a part of military organisation where individual thinking is not wellcome if not prohibited! When in SERVICE you are here to follow the orders and not have own opinions on POLITICS, or national affairs beside what you were told to do. That is a difference between FREE people and people who are assigned to follow and never question any orders, or dispute patriotism. Those people MUST be immediately removed from the administrative body of WIKIPEDIA. Recentlly in time of election the US congress members and their URL addresses were for the same reason banned from the editing their web pages. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.62.251.246 (talk • contribs) 03:26, 27 August 2006.

Could you please review the Liceum Ogolnokstalcace page (that is a redirect-- the page itself is spelled correctly). I noticed it and I updated it as best I could, but you know the subject matter far better than I could. My grandparents were from Poland, but I am not that familiar with the educational system to really judge the page. Please make any corrections or updates as necessary. As there are no links, it is impossible for the likes of me to know whether it is completely accurate.

Da Vandal
No problem. I saw Da Vandal while on recent changes patrol, and was tracking down his contributions. Clearly he was retaliating for your vandalism warning, but he's been blocked indefinately. Squigish 21:32, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Upcoming template changes
Hi, I've just noticed that you recently left a templated userpage message. I'm just bringing to your attention that the format and context of these templates will be shortly changing. It is recommended that you visit WikiProject user warnings and harmonisation discussion pages to find out how these changes could affect the templates you use. We also would appreciate any insights or thoughts you may have on the subject. Thanks for your understanding. Best regards Khukri (talk . contribs) 14:53, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
Talk:Poland
The whole discussion and the link to (Website link removed. —Centrx→talk • 21:11, 7 November 2006 (UTC)) has been removed into the Talk:Poland/Archive 3 at the express wish of Jimbo Wales, since another user has made legal threats against Wikipedia about this affair in an email to me. The discussion has thus not been deleted, just archived. Brad, the legal counsel of Wikipedia has been informed and he will look into it. I strongly advise no longer to engage in the whole discussion and leave it out of sight in the archive. JoJan 21:37, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Protection Warning
Ok, some administrators want to play a stupid game on the wikipedia site.
I asked them to delete the link about my site located on the archive page of the article "Poland"
This is my right, I have written a letter yesterday so as to ask to the wiki fundation to delete this link.
Moreover, this link is mine, I manage it.
So, very soon, this link will drive all the visitors, to some pages were they will receive virus and trojaks on their computer. I have the entire right to make a site with such programs, because I warn people that this site will be full of programs so as to tackle their computers, and I have the right to do that so as to defend myself from some administrators actions.
So, if administrators of wikipedia still remain my site in their database, they will be responsable for all the domages on the computers of all the visitors coming from wikipedia to my site .
Now, take your responsabilities ! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.229.198.135 (talk) 18:06, 4 November 2006

Your revert on Calypso (software)
You reverted a bulk-removal on this by an IP. They should have had an edit summary, but I think their removal was valid. It's all just advertising material they removed. Cheers, Chovain 07:31, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Polish Catholics
Hello. Could you please tell me why are you starting this Polish-Catholics non sense?? I see completely no value in this category, especially if it includes Kaczynski's, Jaruzelski and some unknown guy. From any perspective it is completely non-sense. Are you going to include here all Poles that were no born as Jews or Poles born Catholics who became atheists later on ?? 81.190.2.111 20:56, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

The Original Barnstar | ||
For his excellent work on the Help desk, which I remember from when I was the newest of newbies and which helped convince me to become a Wikipedian, and for his diligent efforts with thankless tasks like AfD sorting, I award Jacek Kendysz the Original Barnstar. Newyorkbrad 16:56, 6 May 2007 (UTC) |
- A few months ago I was a brand-new editor, trying to decide whether to contribute more and become involved in the community. I'd written a short article called Peter J. Hamilton, and I wasn't sure how to disambiguate it from the original article about another Peter Hamilton. I posted what must have seemed a clueless question to the Help desk. Within 5 minutes you answered it, and in the process quietly fixed a couple of other newbie mistakes I'd made. That quick and helpful response was one of the things that made me decide to become a Wikipedian.
- Ten thousand edits and an adminship later, I just checked my watchlist and I see you on the Help desk again the morning answering questions. Please accept this as a belated thank you. Newyorkbrad 16:56, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
