Carlton J. Kell High School is a public high school in the Cobb County School District in the state of Georgia. The school is located in Marietta, Georgia, just northwest of Atlanta. The school was founded in 2002 and serves approximately 2,500 students in the Cobb County area. The school mascot is the Longhorn, and the school colors are copper, black, and white. Kell is also a AP certified school.[citation needed]
History
Coach Carlton J. "Corky" Kell was the former head football coach at Wheeler High School in Cobb County and was instrumental in creating the High School Football Classic in 1992. In fact, the first Classic was actually the first game ever played inside the Georgia Dome, even before any professional or college team played there.[citation needed]
