Dorney Lake is a purpose built rowing lake in the United Kingdom. It is located at grid reference SU929779 in the small village of Dorney and near the towns of Windsor and Eton. The lake is privately owned and financed by Eton College who have spent £17 million developing it and no public money has been used. Although it is primarily for use by the school, the facilities are made available to the rowing community (as well as for canoeing, dragon boat and triathlon training).
The lake will be used as the 2012 Summer Olympic venue for rowing and canoe/kayak flatwater. This will involve enhancing the existing facilities to include 20,000 seats, most of which will be temporary.

Dorney Lake has been chosen to host the following international rowing events:
- Coupe de la Jeunesse 2005 (29 July – 31 July)
- World Rowing Championships 2006 (20 August – 27 August)
- 2012 Summer Olympics 2012 (27 July – 12 August)
Lake specifications
- Stillwater, with consistent water conditions
- 2,000 m straight length for racing
- 8 rowing lanes, each 13.5 m wide
- Minimum water depth of 3.5 m
- A return channel for boat movements to the start, separated from the main lake by an island
These follow the FISA rules for a Category A rowing lake.
