RE:Adoption

Sure, why not. I noticed you like ELP and classical rock, rock on dude :) DarthGriz98 21:05, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, the commons are for free images that can be used across the projects whereas the upload can be used for free images or fairuse ones. Is the one you wanted to use already in the commons or is it on Italian Wiki? (I don't speak or read Italian, so I don't know what it says) As for my personal image, that's actually used on Girl Scouts of the USA, but some people do add one personal image to the commons to use on their page. Also, you can respond to me either on your talk page or mine, I have yours on my watchlist. Certain users prefer responses on their own talk page, some like on both, some like to only respond on the talk page they commented on, depends. DarthGriz98 00:39, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not too familiar with the Italian Wiki's processes, but you could put it up for deletion after moving it to the commons by using a deletion tag, I'm sure they have them as well. When you put it up for deletion I would search for their deletion page and follow the instructions there, English Wikipedia has there's at WP:AfD. As for the other method, you may be able to try that as well, but I'm not familiar with it.DarthGriz98 16:19, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

HappySlip

I removed that reference because it is wrong! Nowhere on the page that you referenced is HappySlip even mentioned. Her channel page states that she has around 2 million views, not 16 million. Do not re-add the information without a reference. - SigmaEpsilonΣΕ 22:35:25, August 19, 2007 (UTC)

I've restored the information there- the source referenced does show that Happyslip currently has 17,107,948 page views. Right now it's at page 3, toward the bottom, though I'm sure it moves around as page views rise and fall. -FisherQueen (Talk) 22:41, 19 August 2007 (UTC)\[reply]
The original ref pointed to page four, not page three. If it moves around a lot keeping the ref up-to-date could be a problem. - SigmaEpsilonΣΕ 22:46, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

== Continue your HappySlip article ==

I'm fairly certain it will be deleted, but if you want to keep working on it, you can do so here: User:Outspan/HappySlip. She'll satisfy WP:BIO one of these days, so you might as well be prepared. ichor}mosquito{ 09:37, 20 August 2007 (UTC) [reply]

A bot deleted my attempt at copying and pasting the article's code there, thinking it was vandalism of some kind. Since I had it under your userspace, maybe it was vandalism. It should work if you do it. Note that you won't be able to easily retrieve the article once the admin deletes it at AfD. ichor}mosquito{ 10:48, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think it's a lost cause anymore, but we'll see what happens. ichor}mosquito{ 13:24, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
"Christine Gambito". Try Yahoo, too. Ichormosquito 21:10, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Apple Inc.

In a recent edit to the page Apple Inc., you changed one or more words from one international variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For subjects exclusively related to Britain (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. If it is an international topic, use the same form of English the original author used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to the other, even if you don't normally use the version the article is written in. Respect other people's versions of English. They in turn should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. If you have any queries about all this, just ask anyone on Wikipedia and they will help you. Thank you. --Nucleusboy 20:47, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Happyslip and DYK

Hi Outspan. You are off to such a great start on the article Happyslip that it may qualify to appear on Wikipedia's Main Page under the Did you know... section. The Main Page gets about 4,000,000 hits per day and appearing on the Main Page may help bring publicity and assistance to the article. However, there is a five day from article creation window for Did you know... nominations. Before five days pass from the August 18, 2007 date the article was created and if you haven't already done so, please consider nominating the article to appear on the Main Page by posting a nomination at Did you know suggestions. Also, don't forget to keep checking back at Did you know suggestions for comments regarding your nomination. Again, great job on the article. -- Jreferee (Talk) 21:37, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Outspan, what a great outcome! I really hope this article makes it to DYK! I'll keep a watch on the talk page and see if I can help any further. If you ever need help with anything on Wikipedia in the future, feel free to leave a message on my talk page. I hope you stay around! --JayHenry 06:14, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I second that hope. Keep taking bold initiatives. Ichormosquito 07:21, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DYK

Updated DYK query On 25 August, 2007, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Christine Gambito, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.
