Merge with 2007 in baseball?

I know MLB is not the only form of baseball, but isn't it a bit of a waste of time to have two very similar articles running parallel to each other? Just a thought, happy to hear anyone's opinion on it. Mglovesfun 05:40, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think these should be kept separate. 2007 MLB season is a big, important article, despite being a branch of 2007 in baseball, and 2007 in baseball is a broad article for all baseball this year. It doesn't really make sense to merge them to me. Ksy92003 13:04, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No way. Every major American sports league has its own article for its current season. ---CWY2190TC 15:51, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
These articles should not be merged. 2007 in baseball is the centralised one, each league will probably develop their own season article, for instance 2007 Chinese Professional Baseball League season has been kicked off from the Taiwan baseball fans. I'm sure soon enough they'll be one for the 2007 Nippon Professional Baseball season, so it should stay seperate. --Borgardetalk 09:02, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jackie Robinson

I was going to add an item about the special #42 uniforms players wore on April 15 to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of Jackie Robinson's MLB debut, but I wasn't sure where to put it. Under "Uniforms?" Perhaps as a special heading? --Do Not Talk About Feitclub (contributions) 21:37, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, that's a good idea to include it. However, I think it should have a special heading because it's not a change to the team's uniform, as the "Uniforms" section is. --Ksy92003 21:40, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Standings

We need to remember to update the standings. Hornberry 03:37, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can't we transclude it to the templates like on the various team pages? Fahima07 16:42, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Update standings

How do I update the standings on this page? --Marco Rodríguez 16:55, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Each standings table is a template that is included on this page. To edit the standings, go to its main page, such as Template:2007 AL Central standings. You can edit that page and the changes will show up here (and on any other page that includes the template). X96lee15 17:28, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Scott Baker's Flirt With Perfection

Should I add Scott Baker's near-perfect game to the pitching milestones or is it not notable enough? guitarhero777777 17:42, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's my opinion that it's not notable enough to include. X96lee15 20:54, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's why I asked. I was on the fence, but I figured since Jake Peavy's near consecutve strikeout record was included, that this might be notable enough. guitarhero777777 00:36, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, we probably shouldn't since we don't have Chien-ming wang's flirt earlier this year, and Scott Baker's performance wasn't even the best of the week. guitarhero777777 04:19, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, MLB defines a low-hit game as anything of two hits or less; I don't think it would be a bad idea to include such games, especially since the current subsection headings don't really match (batting, fielding, no-hitters). MisfitToys 23:51, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Commemorative patches

Does anyone recall the Twins wearing any sort of patch/helmet insignia memorializing the victims of the 35W bridge collapse? I know there is a sign on the metrodome backstop with 8/1/07 on it, but can't find footage/photo with anything else on the players. Help! Keeper76 20:27, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Seperate postseason article

Since the 2007 MLB postseason has started, there will be users who were not active last year who may be unfamiliar with the current organization of the MLB articles, and therefore may create a "2007 MLB playoffs" article. Each series has its own article, so there's no need for another article with redundant content. See also Talk:2006 in baseball#Merge. Thanks. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 04:44, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
