Vandalism

It looks like two anonymous users have vandalized this page recently. I'm not familiar with the article, so I don't know what's right, and what's not. Mithras6 20:24, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

the biography part is gone.. can someone add it back? Noobskater 14:45, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I added back a lot of the missing content. I hope I didn't get rid of anything that was subsequently added after the vandalism or during. That wasn't my intent but it was really hard to tell what was valid and what was not. Downstream 21:54, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced information

If anyone has a reputable source for this information, please cite the source (Wikipedia:Citing_sources) and add it back if you want: Barker and Moakler were seen in Disneyland holding hands and cuddling. [citation needed] Downstream 01:54, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fun fact: Source #11 for this page is a copy and paste of this Wikipedia page. Apparently, we cite ourselves for information now. --24.226.90.204 (talk) 19:26, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Genre

shouldn't travis' genre on the page include ska? i mean, he was in ska bands such as the aquabats and the suicide machines at one point, right?. therefore shouldn't that be included? im gonna add it in for now. (24.141.184.10 02:07, 20 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Music Videos

  • Does anyone know why he is in rap videos such as Throw Some D's. In that video, he is just standing around in a hood. He does nothing whatsoever, unless he supplies some drumming in the real song. HaLoGuY007 01:44, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Who helped him with drumming

If someone has a citation for this: "Travis's good friend, Brendan Taylor helped Travis to become more involved in drumming." please feel free to add it back with the proper reference. Downstream 16:32, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Blink182greatesthits.jpg

Image:Blink182greatesthits.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 14:20, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

    • In addition, that picture of "Travis", incidentally is not Travis. It is Timothy Sherlock Burns IV, who was at the time, the drummer for Dead End Drive. That photo was taken at the Rave by Erika Rolbiecki. Once again, the photo of the man playing the drums is NOT TRAVIS BARKER. Thank you.**

Is there one too many MySpace links here? I am not sure this is in line with our external linking guidelines. Yamaguchi先生 04:27, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Death?

I'm on Myspace, and recently have read heaps of bulletins announcing that Travis was found dead in a garage. I dont know whats going on, but someone has added this to the Wikipedia article, with an invalid citation. I am going to delete the comment, although if his death is confirmed by a reliable source, then i assume someone, maybe me, will re-do it. Ka5hmirTalk To Me! 06:19, 16 November 2007 (UTC) Looks like someone got there before me Ka5hmirTalk To Me! 06:20, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest to disregard this as bullshit. It doesn't cite sources, and you think nobody would have heard about it? It happened the 13th. There's no way this would've went unknown for 2 days. It's just false rumors -- I can guarantee it. Also, how would they know to make a bulliten about his death if nobody else knows? No news reports, nothing..but MySpace knows? Yeah right. Blindeffigy 07:50, 16 November 2007 (UTC) Reports show that he is now dead!!!![reply]

yeah i heard about him dying in his garage on the 13th too from a bulliten on myspace, it might have been on the news tonight but i didnt see it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Doghop12 (talkcontribs) 10:11, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[I think it's bullshit

Extract from bulletin: "Travis’s wifes exact words “everyone one in the world has someone special who has died in there life. Maybe it hasnt happen yet but please pray for Travis and my family. i would appericate it and who ever did this to Travis is a sick! man”"

How would she know that Travis was killed by another person if the cause of death is uncomfirmed? 71.108.63.226 10:53, 16 November 2007 (UTC)][reply]

His wife cleared the air, and said it was all fake here. http://www.popcrunch.com/travis-barker-death-hoax-travis-barker-not-dead/ Blindeffigy (talk) 00:03, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Someone needs to hurry up and remove that part of the article. More importantly why would it be allowed in the first place? I'm sure the Wikipedia is NOT would clear that up. I'm not a Wikiwiz so I'm too lazy to find it out 24.170.35.165 (talk) 03:50, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Someone removed the part about the death hoax but I put it back on. lildude18_2004 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lildude18 2004 (talkcontribs) 04:25, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
