Overlooked question
Hi it looks like my previous question was archived without an answer so i'll just paste it below in case it was overlooked: Hi there. You flagged and removed two of my pages, Grand Waldo Hotel and GalaxyWorld Resort. I am trying to specifically build and maintain two pages, Cotai and Cotai Strip, which are the names for a huge resort area in the Chinese SAR of Macau. Over the next year or two this term will be extremely popular since this area will be the equivalent of Las Vegas, but be in China. There will probably be about 20 different hotel and casino names run by at least a dozen companies. I have cleaned up Cotai Strip and plan to clean up Cotai soon. As a part of this project, I am adding entries for each of these companies and entries for each of the resorts. The two you removed are two resorts owned by Galaxy Entertainment which is a publicly traded company, and were just initial entries as i planned to add more details for each property as the information becomes available. It looks like you have removed both already, so can I please go ahead and add both again but this time provide more details? Also, i am very knowledgeable on the subjects of Cotai and Cotai Strip and find myself editing and removing bad information placed on both those entries every month. Is there anything i can do to give myself more authority for those two entries? Thanks. Oldsnakeeyes 00:37, 29 June 2007 (UTC) Oldsnakeeyes 03:11, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

- Righty-o. I didn't create it, just added some information to it - if I have time I'll have a look within the next few days. I think it's probably a notable subject, but it's certainly not even a stub as it stands. --Bonadea 09:24, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

That was strange, to say mildly. I blocked him a minute ago, got the confirmation message but nothing happened. Only after I blocked him again (third time) it stuck. Have to check that out. Thanks for the warning. Garion96 (talk) 20:23, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
I had already marked the article Bighorny sheep with a csd tag. Why did you remove it and replace it with a different one? B1atv 13:58, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Hej, I noticed you've been doing a lot of editing in my school article, have you happen to be there by any chance? --Ahmed 21:14, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- No, I haven't - there was a bit of vandalism on that article as far as I remember, so now it's on my watchlist. Which is why I've been cleaning up vandalism there again, a few times. I've never been to that part of the world at all. Wouldn't mind going there, though. --Bonadea 12:53, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
- Good to know. Keep up the excellent work! --Ahmed 12:42, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Just wanted to say thanks for reverting on my talk page! --Ed (Edgar181) 15:08, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

External Link in Microsimulation
On tuesday I added an external link for the Aimsun Microsimulator. Is it possible to know why?
In any case I have some comments regarding the article:
1. Note to wikipedia editor. The definition needed to be improved In the traffic and transportation field, microsimulation refers to models which simulate the behaviour of individual vehicles. Typically this is done using car following, lane changing and route choice model.
2 Note to wikipedia editor. Packages should be listed in alphabetical order followed by the names of the companies/organizations that developed them and distribute them
Aimsun by TSS-Transport Simulation Systems; CORSIM by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) now distributed by MacTrans as TSIS-CORSIM; Cube Dynasim by Citilabs; Paramics <http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Paramics&action=edit> by Quadstone; Paramics <http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Paramics&action=edit> by SiAS; and VISSIM by PTV.
3 Note to wikipedia editor. The following packages were incorrectly included in this list and are not part of this field DYNACAN (Canada) is not a traffic microsimulation model, nor is it related to CORSIM. It belongs in a different category. See http://www.actuaries.org/CTTEES_SOCSEC/Documents/dynacan.pdf
POLISIM (United States)) is not a traffic microsimulation model, nor is it related to CORSIM. It belongs in a different category. See http://www.prenhall.com/polisim/
4 Note to wikipedia editor. The following products are signal optimization software packages. Some have some limited simulation ability but they cannot reasonably be grouped with the above. A different category should be created.
LISA+ <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LISA%2B> , SYNCHRO (Simtraffic), LINSIG, TRANSYT <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transyt> and aaSIDRA represent a different class of models whose main objective is to optimize signalized junctions. As such, they include some limited simulation capabilities or are often interfaced with the above simulators.

Galaxy Song
I was honestly trying to improve wikipedia, I have found after many years hard research, that the last 18 words of the last verse are correct. --Republic000 23:40, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- Proving by independent research that there is no intelligence on Earth sounds like a contradiction in terms to me ;-)
- Anyway, I know what you mean and often feel the same way, but it's still a tongue-in-cheek comment, and Wikipedia is too boring for those I'm afraid. --Bonadea (talk) 11:16, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

Direct Inward Dialling
Why has my edit been reverted, I notice that a lot of dispute over the past 72 hours have occurred on the Direct Inward Dialling stating "SPAM" and removing several links to sellers. If sellers are not to be listed, then why has the SELLERS sub not been deleted and why has VOX and DIDWW still in place? - After reviewing the history the original links remained on the article for several month before you come along and start reverting edits, i think that the links should be left in place and a discussion is started on this instead of going round in circles. let the people speak. 84.69.232.177 (talk) 18:52, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
- I may have been the first person to remove the commercial links, but it is not in any way my personal opinion that they do not belong there - it is a clear case of inappropriate links as per WP:SPAM, and several different people, more experienced editors than myself, have been actively removing the section when it was returned. The heading "Sellers" is still in place because there is some factual information about the kind of companies that sell them, as well as Wikilinks to two major companies; one of those companies has no Wikipedia article and so it should possibly not be there.
- There is no "going around in circles" and no element of "the people speaking". Commercial links without informational content have no place in Wikipedia, that's the long and short of it. And discussions should take place on an article's talk page before inserting links, not before removing them. --Bonadea (talk) 19:02, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
- It seem the people do speak just you are choosing to ignore them 84.69.232.177 (talk) 17:31, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- Selectiveness, I think it is called, see and read what people want to read and see. 84.69.239.238 (talk) 17:35, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, it's all we can do to quell the riots resulting from our suppression of the "pimp my number" website. If only I had some jackboots. Kuru talk 21:55, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think I can add anything to that :-) Seriously, I think between this discussion, and those at User talk:62.136.140.235 and Talk:Direct Inward Dialing, the subject has been exhausted. If you (the IP editor(s)) want to change WP:EL or WP:SPAM, you're free to suggest and argue for changes -- but trying to override existing guidelines isn't the way to change them. --Bonadea (talk) 23:11, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- Quell the riots? Suppression of "pimp my number" website? Well firstly what riots are we talking about. and as for the "pimp my number" website and suppressing it, I wish you luck with your suppression not that it bothers me in the slightest as its not mine nor am I associated with it. But It comes to something when childish behaviour spreads to the internet, and people abuse authority ONLINE, just because in the real world (Yes it does exist!) no one takes them seriously or respects them. Is this a personal attack? No, it is just someone expressing freedom of speech, something even WIKI can't take away. 84.69.239.238 (talk) 23:28, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- Why is it childish to want to keep a repository of facts free from spam? The external sites in question have no factual content, they exist only to sell a product or service - that is the whole point. --Bonadea (talk) 23:31, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- Bonadea you talk about sticking to the Wiki Policy and Rules, What about the 3RR on the 26/DEC/2007 ? So don't go quoting policy/rules unless you intend to stick to them also.
