Trivia
- For the cereal's introduction in the 1970s, American television commercials featured jingles reworked from the musical standard "O Dem Golden Slippers". A variety of new lyrics were written around the phrase "Oh, those Golden Grahams".
- In the late 1980s, Golden Graham commercials used extensive reworkings of the 1967 hit song "Happy Together" by The Turtles.
- In the Deep Space Homer episode of The Simpsons, the character Homer Simpson sings the original Golden Grahams (Golden Slippers) theme while the shuttle he is occupying hurtles toward Earth at an unimaginable speed. At the same time, the other occupants of the shuttle (real astronaut Buzz Aldrin, voiced by the second man on the moon himself, and fake astronaut Race Banyon, voiced by cast member Hank Azaria) hum "The Battle Hymn of the Republic". (This is itself a reference to the movie version of Tom Wolfe's book "The Right Stuff", and its John Glenn reentry sequence.)
- This Morning With Richard Not Judy (TMWRNJ) repeatedly mocked Golden Grahams as a regular feature of the show. One particular episode stated that despite the current advertising slogan of "Golden Grahams deserve respect" that actually "Golden Grahams deserve to be flushed, uneaten, down a toilet". They also claimed that Golden Grahams contained acid, with Richard Herring placing one on his tongue, and stating "Wow, there are peas coming out of my face" after a supposed Grahams induced LSD trip.
- In the British comedy series Little Britain, one of the characters presents a board of managers with a round perposterous ideas for cereal brands, one of which is "Golden Graemes," which consists of, "Real bits of Dr. Graeme Garden, covered in delicious gold!"
- In the British comedy series "The Mighty Boosh" in episode 1 series 3: Eels, Tony Harrison refers to his breakfast by saying "Liquid Breakfast! I 'ad champagne on me Golden Grahams!"
