Daniel Phillip Henney (born November 28, 1979, Korean: 다니엘 헤니) is an American expatriate actor in South Korea. His father is American and his mother is Korean. Henney debuted as a model in several Korean and foreign ads. He most famously co-starred in the Korean hit drama, My Name is Kim Sam Soon. A recent article in the L.A. Times on Henney reflects the western film industry's interest in him, although according to Henney, the western scripts are still too difficult for him to read.

Career

Henney first job in the entertainment world was modelling, in which he began in 2001 and has worked in Italy, France, Hong Kong and Taiwan. He rose to fame across Asia via his role as Dr. Henry Kim in the successful South Korean drama, My Name is Kim Sam Soon. Since then, he has starred as a multi-lingual American business executive in Seducing Mr. Perfect in 2006, the 2006 KBS drama Spring Waltz and the 2007 film My Father.

Henney has a working knowledge of the Korean language, and has performed in roles that required the speaking of German (Spring Waltz) and Japanese (Seducing Mr. Perfect). In addition, he was featured in Esprit commercials around the world.

Education

Though Division III NCAA schools like Alma and Albion colleges do not award athletic scholarships[2], they may provide financial help to student athletes.[3] For example, if an athlete's family qualifies for financial aid, the Division III school is allowed to replace loan money with grant money.[4]
