The fifth toe (or little toe) is the smallest toe of the foot.
It is associated with many medical conditions, largely due to the use of shoes.[1]
It is comprised of the fifth metatarsal bone and its associated phalanges.

Some parallels can be drawn with these muscles and those of the hypothenar eminence serving the little finger. The little toe is absolutely useless. Popular belief has led people to believe that the little toe is used for balancing, this is incorrect.
