Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ThomasCup.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:ThomasCup.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:39, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Italics

There is no need to use italics, you yourself should respect people's hardwork to update the article not simply add in nonsense.Robert Siow (talk) 05:47, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Template:Button

A tag has been placed on Template:Button requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. --MZMcBride (talk) 02:53, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:ThomasCup.JPG)

Thanks for uploading Image:ThomasCup.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 23:27, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thomas Cup Article

Thanks for the compliment. I could never even attempt to write an article in anything but English. I'm trying to edit the TC article one section at a time but I will probably need some help with the TC format changes made in the eighties and since. Badmintonhist (talk) 20:07, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Aleenf1. I am trying to edit the section on format'. I'm wondering if you or someone else could check the records on the qualification venues that were used starting in 1984. According to my old World Badminton magazine there were 4 qualifying venues in 1984, not just two. They were in Belgium (3 qualifying teams), Canada (one qualifying team), Hong Kong (one qualifying team), and India (one qualifying team). China, the defending champion, and Malaysia, the host country, were exempt. I think similar venues were also used in 1986. This would mean that the chart in that section of the article should be modified. Badmintonhist (talk) 15:56, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Logo Champions Terrassa 06.JPG

Thank you for uploading Image:Logo Champions Terrassa 06.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 13:01, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism warning

Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits. Readers looking for serious articles will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write (almost) whatever you want. 156.34.216.68 (talk) 11:59, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just warned this guy. Shapiros10WuzHere 13:16, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Thank you for the notice. I've just corrected one score, and another one was a walkover, so I have tried to modify it to clarify the result without changing the format of the draws. I think there are not more mistakes now, but if you see another one, please, tell it to me. MontanNito (talk) 19:11, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't revert the Spider Solitaire page to delete links to play the game. Such links are present on literally dozens of Wikipedia pages for other games. If you wish to participate in the ongoing discussion of the issue, the discussion page for Spider Solitaire is the place to do it. Thanks. 206.74.61.67 (talk) 14:26, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
