Ah, I had a feeling he was a sockpuppet. Seems you have beaten me in reporting him. --→ Ãlways Ãhëad (talk) 21:11, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't be surprised to know that account was created by you guys to gain moral high ground. Sick. --AI009 (talk) 02:58, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Socks

Add an entry for me in Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets. If you don't do so, I'll have to remove your defamatory, baseless accusation. --AI009 (talk) 02:38, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for taking care of some unexpected editors of my user page. Camaron | Chris (talk) 16:09, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome! --SMS Talk 16:24, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FFR

Thanks for both your messages. I'm sorry I haven't replied sooner but I was hoping to find time to reply in real detail again. What the article now needs is a thorough third-party review. You can get this two ways: either by requesting a peer review or by applying for GA. If you go for GA, much will depend on the quality of the reviewer. A really good GA reviewer will help you improve the article considerably, while giving you much useful advice. If you go down the peer review route instead, which I suggest you do before going for A-class, you again need good reviewers. Very competent people to approach for either GA or Peer Review are EyeSerene (talk), Mike Christie (talk), Awadewit (talk), Scartol (talk) or Maralia (talk). They are all busy so you may have to wait. If you get nowhere, leave me a message and I'll see what I can do. Again, sorry for the discourtesy and very good luck, --ROGER DAVIES talk 11:10, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You can "disturb" me as often as you like. It's always a pleasure talking to you :) The responses may be a little slow at times but I do try to get there eventually, --ROGER DAVIES talk 11:31, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you can get one of the above editors to review, go formally for GA. They'll all do an excellent job. --ROGER DAVIES talk 11:32, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Remove an unnecessary redirection site

How can I or could you please remove the site with the redirection from "Sensible world of soccer" (small letters) to "Sensible World of Soccer" for cosmetic reasons, it's needless anyway!? - Thank you (Redhair23 (talk) 16:49, 27 April 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Re GA review request for Frontier Force Regiment.

Hi, and thanks for the note. I'll be happy to do your GA review as soon as I have some free time, which won't be before the weekend or early next week. I noticed you haven't yet nominated it for GA - to do this, you'll need to list it on the WP:GAN page at the bottom of the correct section (History -> War and military) and add a talk-page template to the article. There are instructions at the top of the WP:GAN page if you haven't done this before, or drop me a note if you want a hand with the nom.

It may also be helpful to have a quick read through Wikipedia:Guide for nominating good articles before the nomination, as it often helps to avoid some of the more common problems we see at GA - although I haven't read your article yet, so I don't know how useful the guide is likely to be! Any questions etc, please get in touch ;) All the best, EyeSerenetalk 20:19, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've had a quick read-through. I don't think GA is impossible, but a fair amount of work is needed (possibly more than would be justified by a GA hold). Most significantly, the article needs copyediting for prose and grammar, and there are a few MoS issues and referencing gaps. I'm also not convinced by the copyright licenses on some of the images where you have them tagged as 'self-made', but it looks like they've been cropped from paintings or photos (so they need to be attributed to the original source). If you'd rather, I can copyedit the article and we can work on the other things... but then I wouldn't be able to GA review as it would be a conflict of interest. There's no need to make a quick decision though - like I said, I won't be able to do much before next week anyway. Think it over, and let me know what you want to do. Regards, EyeSerenetalk 21:03, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, but we need your help

Thanks for the work that you are contributing via your bot on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Pakistan. I would however like you to also suggest some things for the WikiProject. Throughout this week, we will be adding new content and improving on previous content on the WikiProject and highly value your suggestions here. Keep up the good work! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Arunreginald (talkcontribs) 16:46, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What is the copyright status of an image which is uploaded after being scanned from a booklet. And the booklet holds no where any claim of copyright. I have added these images with a {{PD-self}} tag. Can anyone please guide me? --SMS Talk 03:42, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Simply scanning something in does not create a new copyright; the copyright, if there is any, is still fully held by the original author. Just because there is no copyright notice doesn't mean it's public domain; copyright is automatic and doesn't require a notice. Could you tag the images with their original creation date and original source? --Rat at WikiFur (talk) 03:52, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How can I know who the author is or who holds it's copyright. Let me give some details, I am talking of these images: Image:Piffer Center.JPG and Image:Piffers War Memorial.JPG, which I took from an official booklet of Frontier Force Regiment. So can you please guide me what to tag to these images. Thanks! --SMS Talk 16:42, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Was there an image credit, copyright notice, or publication date on the booklet? --Rat at WikiFur (talk) 18:57, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, there are no image credit, copyright notice nor even the publication date. It is an official booklet with two messages in start from the commanders of Frontier Force Regiment with their signatures at the end dated September 6 2002. At the inner side of the back cover it is mentioned

Our gratitude to Lieutenant Colonel Agha Masood Akram (1 FF and 15 FF) for his contribution in compilation of this booklet.

--SMS Talk 19:54, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I don't have any reason to believe it would be public domain then. Your options are WP:COPYREQ, claim fair use, or let them get deleted. --Rat at WikiFur (talk) 19:57, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If the booklet is a work of the Pakistan government, then its copyright lasts for 50 years after publication, and so not in the public domain until then. GreenReaper (talk) 20:02, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you can say that the work is of Pakistan Government, as this booklet is given by Pakistan Army. How can fair use be claimed here(if possible). (if not)So now what should I do? should I tag these images with CSD:G7(or anyother criteria) or should I wait for getting permission for using these images here? --SMS Talk 20:12, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Image:Jinnah with Piffers.JPG is fine. As for the other two, unless the structures pictured are no longer standing, or not open to the public, you would not be able to claim fair use, because you could take a new picture and put it under a free license. The only other options left would be WP:COPYREQ or deletion. --Rat at WikiFur (talk) 20:28, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think for now deletion may be the appropriate option until I get a WP:COPYREQ. Thanks for guiding me on the issue of Media Copyrights here at Wiki! --SMS Talk 20:32, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the request

I hope you'll forgive me but I cannot join something that will get me more involved in Wikipedia. I have exams coming up and another personal issue this summer. I will reconsider after my exams but I can't say I will be sure since I might not be "here", this summer. Sorry. --→ Ãlways Ãhëad (talk) 23:18, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bengali Films

Hi, your bot has has included most of the wikipages on Bengali films under WikiProject:Pakistan. Are you sure that there are members in this project to contribute on these pages on Bengali Films? Thanks. GDibyendu (talk) 12:32, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

SMS Bot tagging

I can understand Mukh O Mukhosh being under WP:PAK, but how does Apur Sansar or Titash Ekti Nadir Naam fall under that project? I think the tagging method used by your bot to tag Pakistan-related articles has some bugs in it. --Ragib (talk) 16:13, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto

Stop vandalizing Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. As much as you hate it, Bhutto was a Shi'a Muslim, as is his whole family. 77.42.187.213 (talk) 17:32, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:

Reference? Everybody knows that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto is a Shi'a Muslim, despite the fact that in Pakistan, ignorant Sunni parents tend to teach their children, like you, that Shi'as are to be found only in Hell and in Wonderland. 77.42.187.213 (talk) 17:38, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article always stated that Bhutto is Shi'a until a Sunni editor, probably you, vandalized the article and changed the religion is many articles. Special:Contributions/81.149.22.123. see this. It's interesting to see that after this Sunni vandalized the articles, you were there to make sure that no one would change it back. But I guess this is standard ill-intentioned Sunni behavior.
