Benjamin Ray Bailey (born October 30, 1970), aka Ben Bailey, is an American comedian, licensed cabbie,[1] and Daytime Emmy Award-nominated game show host for Discovery Channel's Cash Cab.[2] He classifies his comedy as mainly "surreal observational".

Originally from Chatham, New Jersey, he moved to Los Angeles in 1993.[3] Before moving out west, Bailey lived in Virginia where he attended Old Dominion University. At six feet six inches, he was offered a job as a bouncer for a comedy club after borrowing a cigarette from a man in a parking lot.[3] According to Ben Bailey, he was telling stories with some comedians after-hours when someone who found his stories humorous offered him an opportunity at stand-up.[3]
