1942: Joint Strike is a forthcoming downloadable game developed by Backbone Entertainment for the Xbox 360's Xbox Live Arcade service and Sony's PlayStation Network. The game is due for a Summer 2008 release.

Gameplay

The game is a remake of Capcom's classic 1942.[1] Like the prior game, Joint Strike is a classic vertical scrolling shooter and will allow 2 player co-operative multiplayer.[2] One ability co-op players can use jointly is a lightning field net.[3]

Technical notes

The game will feature high-definition graphics, and will be fully 3D, although the combat takes place on a 2D plane.[2]
