This is Chamillionaire's publicist. Please remove: Chamillionaire will begin promoting his new custom "Color Changing Kicks" shoe line. He is not launching a shoe line. Completely false. Also, please remove any reference to Bill Collecta being the official second single. Not true. Thanks.

Peenis Weenis Visits Venus

There is a rumor on some blogs that Chamillionaire is in negotiations with Tim Burton concerning the soundtrack for Burton's upcoming project, "Peenis Weenis Visits Venus." Does anyone have any reliable information regarding this collaboration? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.20.138.12 (talk) 04:46, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There's no mention of the mixtapes Tippin Down 2005 nor Big Business with Stat Quo here.. could someone add em?56 16 Jun 2006 (UTC)

Chamillionaire is already a legend in the dirty south rap game. Starting out representing Swishahouse. He soon signed with Paid In Full Records. Chamillionaire started his own Chamillitary Records after leaving Paid, In Full and splitting with mike jones, releasing underground albums including the infamous "The Mixtape Messiah" which sold more than 40,000 copies in the first month. Chamillionaire just signed a 500 million dollar deal with Universal Records and is planning on releasing his solo album "The Sound of Revenge" in the fall of 2005. And He jus recently signed two new rappers from from kansas aka the dub-k because they was the best rippers in town. The two rappers was named Marcus W. aka Trey C and Anthony M. aka ace. These two best rappers there and he need to go check kansas for them and ask for names if he come kansas.Where they will rap with him on the dot.Because kansas is nowhere and it to hard to come up and they everything. Selling CD on the street and out of trunks.Chamillinaire come get me from the dub-K and i promise i'll show you something. -Trey C

This was unbelievably easy to Wikify as an original article. Is there any more information about Universal Records and Swishahouse etc. for input?--McDogm 20:45, 28 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Authenticity check: A search reveals that the phrase "regarded by many" appears in the text. Is the phrase a symptom of a dubious statement? Could a source be quoted instead? Perhaps the "many" could be identified? Might text be edited to more genuinely reflect specific facts?

Chamillionaire is Muslim

He is a Muslim so I think it should be on his page if you read his bio it says that "Growing up as a child of four in a strict household run by a Christian mother and a Muslim father, he was not allowed to curse". And he also says in interviews that he don't drink or smoke and Muslims aren't allowed to drink or smoke. He also never wears a cross so that shows you guys. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.41.184.116 (talk) 20:18, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So...everyone who doesnt curse, smoke, and drink is a muslim? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.87.55.195 (talk) 20:19, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chamillionaire's Birthplace

Just curious... Where was Chamillionaire born? this seems like a disputed issue.. Was he born in Houston, TX or another part of Texas or was he born in Washington DC? Some people claim he was born in Wisconsin... Hmmmm...

Association with Motown Records

According to the Motown Records article on Wikipedia, Chamillionaire was signed with them too. Understandably, Universal owns Motown, but it would be nice to get some firmer information to the labels he has been signed with. Guroadrunner 04:28, 16 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article problems

None of the trivia is cited, and the article sounds very biased. Is the statement "He is known for his ability to change the tempo and rhyme scheme of his rapping within a single song, and for the rapid, clear, and distinct quality of his delivery and voice" really true? clear voice? listen to "Ridin" and try to identify the lyrics... I would like to see some reference to sources that give this artist that much praise (or any references at all, for that matter, considering the article uses direct quotes that are not attributed to anyone)

I have no problem identifying his lyrics Vickfan 22:43, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Major Releases

Is there a reason why The Sound of Revenge is broken up into a Major Releases sub-heading? It seems to break up the flow of the Discography. I think that the note of Platinum is enough to denote its popular appeal. I would not be opposed to dividing it up into Mixtapes and Albums, but then would Screwed and Chopped be considered an album? --Heaven's Wrath (Talk) 02:44, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Religion

I just want to inform people who keep changing the article that he is a Muslim, he is not a Muslim he is a Christian. He even says it when he was doing an interview with AllHipHop.com you check it out here Bazel 04:16, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed

The albums chronology, a lot of infoboxes and information where messed up. All fixed now.

Also, was "Man On Fire" released on 2006 or 2005? I decided to put it on 2006 because it had a date (June 10). Change it if it's not correct.

Michaelas10 12:25, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed it again. We can't go on like this forever, please verify the discography and possibly merge the album chronology and mixtape chronology. Michaelas10 09:54, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Another mixtape (or album) not mentioned

There is no mention of the mixtape/album "Houston, We have a problem" I have never heard it myself, but allmusic.com has a review for it with samples from the album.

Maybe could mention that "Controversy Sells" also sold a lot, in the section with "Get ya mind correct" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.247.164.180 (talk) 19:54, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Plagiarism

90% of the "Early Career" section has been plagiarised from numerous Chamillionaire biographies written by music websites. So, it's gone pending rewrite. I know it leaves a huge hole, but laziness is no excuse for copying and pasting. The Chief 10:31, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Keep an eye out for heavy vandalism for a little bit (and edit warring) by message board users. Vandalizing edits will generally include unexpected references to heavy nerd culture, like Pokémon. --GlitchBob dbug 20:54, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of box addressing article problems

User:FAH1223 removed this: {{Mustard|July 2006|Format|NPOV|Refs|Disco}} from the page, but none of the problems have been fixed, so it should be added back in. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.84.16.32 (talkcontribs) August 9, 2006 (UTC)

Family

Chamillionaire's brother Rasaq Seriki is coming up in the rap buisness. You should look for Chamillionaire's single with Rasaq and Lil Wayne called "Fly as the Sky."

Mainstream Albums Box

I added the Mainstream Albums section and entered info into there. However, can someone make the table so it expands fully to the right like it is in Jay-Z's Wikipedia entry? Also, someone could also do the underground albums table/section.

Time For a Clean Up!

This article is too long and looks disorganized. I'd clean it myself but I don't know much about Chamillionaire. Jam

But you're looking at a biography about him... If you read, you'll know..

White and Nerdy

Someone should post information about the White and Nerdy song parodying White and Nerdy and how Chamillionaire said he liked it and Weird Al rapped well. I don't know enough of the story so I can't post it. -Mike Payne 03:35, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy

What the heck does this mean?

Recently, Chamillionaire says that he hates beef, especially after the release of Hip Hop Is Dead, and the appearance of what looks like an East Coast Vs. South conflict, and has blamed Corporate America instead, for the downfall of hip hop. He has asked all fans to forget the hip hop beefs, even his own. This is clear on the "Hip Hop is Dead (Skit)" on his recent mixtape, Mixtape Messiah pt. 2

He doesn't like meat products made from cow? Or is this a slang term? The wording here is strange and confusing to me. Also, it is a terrible run-on sentence. Hyperform 06:27, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It means that Cham don't like people beefing... especially about the conflict with who's killing hip hop, the South or the East Coast. But on Mixtape Messiah pt. 2, he blamed Corporate America for the killing of Hip Hop.

That doesn't explain what "beefing" is. Holding a grudge? Having a row? The context seems to be displacing blame onto other people? Hyperform 05:46, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

50 Cent Problem?

In a recent interview 50 cent has said, "dislikeful" words towards Chamillionaire (along with Ghostface and Master P) when he heard that they claimed they would not curse in future records (I have heard nothing about that) http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/news/id.5465/title.50-cent-takes-aim-at-chamillionaire-master-p-ghostface

Cham has stated many times recently that any and all beefs are settled and he's "Put all that nonsense behind me" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.118.20.84 (talk) 11:02, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Marriage and shoe-line

Hi, due to an OTRS complaint I have removed the information about Chamillionaire's recent marriage and his shoe-line, as these are apparently false. His publicist contacted us regarding this. ~ Riana 11:05, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Chamillionaire's singles

His singles section is wrong now. Bill Collecta has been scrapped as a second single for Ultimate Victory. Chamillionaire confirmed himself that Industry Groupie is his second single on his Myspace blog.

There could be a copyright problem here. The Early career section sounds copy pasted. A Google search turns up some possible concerns. --S.dedalus (talk) 04:51, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rapper?

Rapper means he love to rape little girls, am I right? it makes sense, since he converted to christianity to be able to rape as much as many girls he wants, konwing that there were 4000 convicted priests of sexual abuse in USA since 2002!

(This is my thought, and my conclusion, I would be thankful if you didn't insult Muhammad) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.205.145.66 (talk) 23:52, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So its cool for you talk down on Christianity and insult it, but then say don't insult Muhammad. You make general assumptions that all Christians rape girls, but how would you like general assumptions were made that all Muslims are) terrorist??? Can you say hypocrite??? P.S This has absolutely nothing to do with Chamillionaire ;) Ghandi1019 (talk) 01:24, 10 June 2008 (UTC

I cant believe this guy. He is a typical small minded Muslim hypocrite. First of all, please note that most modern Christians and other non muslims are not generally filthy minded like many Muslims are. Here in the West, we like to treat women as human beings and equals, not as possessions. We dont want to force our women to wear a tent at all times because quite frankly, it is backward and oppressive. Also, we are not insecure like some of your men are. You can say all crap you want about priests molesting children and what not. Go knock yourself out. However, these things are not the norm among Christians and especially priests. Moreover, these immoral things deeply ashame normal christians and are looked down upon. The priests who commit such acts tarnish the profession and disgrace those priests who faithfully abide by their priestly vows.

As in the rest of humankind, there is both good and evil among Christians. However, as a muslim, please inform me as to why do Muslim women have to wear the hijab and the burqa. If god wanted Muslim women to cover themselves, then wouldnt he have simply given them an extra flap of skin. Why give them a face? Moreover, Muslim women who cover themselves are greatly suspectible to respiratory illnesses and skin diseases like Rickets due to lack of Vitamin D. The only reason that Muslim women even have to wear the Hijab in the first place is because they are primarily looked down upon by your men as mere sexual objects and not as human beings. Incest and sexual abuse of young girls by male relatives are actually more common in predominantly Muslim countries than the West. These things actually go unnoticed because it happens behind closed doors when no one is looking. Also if this unfortunate incident is exposed (especially on her wedding night), it could lead to the girl's so-called honor killing by her insane family.

In many gulf countries as well as Pakistan and Afghanistan, even young boys and adolescents are not immune from the lustful eyes of filthy perverted old men. It is infact, looked upon as a matter of prestige to have a young male lover. Recently in Iraq, a Wahhabi Imam was caught red handed commiting sodomy with three of his young male students. So much for chastity.

Look, if you cant co-exist peacefully with Christians and Jews and dont find Western society good enough for your liking, you can always immigrate to 'Saudi Arabia' (where a woman has to be secluded in Purdah to avoid being raped in public), 'Iran' (where stoning women to death is the norm), 'Pakistan' (where recent estimates by the human rights commision stated that 80% of women are regularly beaten by male relatives), 'Algeria' (where thousands of unfortunate women are regularly raped, forced into prostitution and temporary marriages, tortured and beheaded by Islamic terrorists because they didnt cover themselves properly), or any one of the other 51 Islamic paradises dotting this planet like a plague of boils.

Also, understand one last thing. If you insist on insulting other peoples religion and lifestyle, then you must not be afraid to have Islam, Mohammed and the Qu'ran insulted in return. If you persist in shoving your religion on other peoples faces all the time, please dont be surprised to get it shoved right back in (where it belongs). Thanks for wasting my time. SantiagoMatamoros (talk) 02:34, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why is he listed as an African American rapper?

He is a Nigerian American and this should be made clear, as recent African immigrants and their descendants are culturally very different from the descendants of the Africans brought as slaves during the slave trade. The two shouldn't be lumped together as they are different groups. 86.129.92.149 (talk) 13:33, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
