Biography
Personal life
Clare Grant was born as Clare Camille Johnson in Memphis, Tennessee to Glenna and Clarence, for whom she was named. The two had one more son before divorcing, and then remarrying, each having another set of three children, making Clare the oldest of eight until one of her younger sisters tragically died, making her the oldest of seven. Immediately after college, Clare began modeling for Elite Model Management in Miami and eventually overseas in the European markets for a short time as well. Before moving to Los Angeles, Clare worked on several independent films in Memphis until she landed a small but pivotal role in opposite Joaquin Phoenix in WALK THE LINE. After Walk the Line and several independent films, Clare made the move to Los Angeles.
