Hi, Mido z05, Welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the Five pillars of Wikipedia and simplified ruleset. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and the FAQ , plus if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will be by to help you shortly.

Additional tips

Here's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!

  • If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Five will get you the datestamp only.
  • You may want to add yourself to the new user log.
  • If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
  • If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.
  • If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.

Speedy deletion of Untitled F.C.

A tag has been placed on Untitled F.C. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. CultureDrone (talk) 17:50, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Untitled F.C

A tag has been placed on Untitled F.C requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JohnCD (talk) 17:55, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Untitled F.C.

Hi, and welcome.

The problem with this club (and the Maple League) articles is simply that they don't meet Wikipedia's criteria of notability. Basically, there are guidelines on what an article in Wikipedia can be about, how it should be written, and what information should be provided. You've sensibly followed the layout of another league when creating the article, and it looks good.....BUT looks aren't all that is required, and unfortunately, your club doesn't meet the notability criteria needed - you can read these here : WP:N. You should also probably read Wikipedia:Starting an article. Feel free to drop me a message on my talk page if you want help or advice. CultureDrone (talk) 18:26, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, i understand the league reasons as it maybe not cited correctly but i only made that page to make the club page more notable as it belongs to that league. but i think being the creator of the Untitled F.C club and team I am following the criteria of Wikipedia. If i understood and read the rules correctly. As the creator of the club i am the only reliable source and there is no source other than my self to create this page the only other information on the club is posted on facebook and the league website. The information on facebook is posted by me so i do not know what to do now. Please inform me if there is anything or please allow the page to be created. Thank you

AfD nomination of Maple Leaf Soccer Club

I have nominated Maple Leaf Soccer Club, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Maple Leaf Soccer Club. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Maxim(talk) 18:38, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Mido z05 for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. BigHairRef | Talk 19:44, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Given the statment of your associate I think it to be quite possible that he is not your sockpuppet; however, did you ask him to take part in the AfD? BigHairRef | Talk 20:05, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, he was editing the page and noticed the message above and attempted to fight the deletion. Or at least that is what i believe. Please consider the page ignore the other person. I begun the page and really believe it is a page the deserves to be there. thank you.

Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 20:30, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Take it into consideration there is nothing wrong with the page. Keep it! Please! all we are trying to do is create a page that informs the public of our team to get more support and fans. This will help us gain popularity and then it will follow your criteria. But how is that suppose to work if you don't post our page. Please think about it i worked hard on the page and don't believe it deserves to be deleted.
