I seriously doubt the title is a direct pun of that album, since that phrase predates it by far. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.215.251.141 (talk) 10:07, August 30, 2007 (UTC)

Seconded. It's highly unlikely that it has anything to do with a random Bouncing Souls album. I think the person who added that tid-bit was just guessing, based on their own unfamiliarity with the cliched back-to-school-assignment. On the other hand, I think the title IS in fact a reference to Joe Strummer. Seeing as how, "How I spent my (guitar string) strummer vacation" makes FAR less sense as a pun than "How I spent my (Joe) Strummer vacation" regardless of his involvement in the episode.

I'm removing the Bouncing Souls reference but I won't replace the Joe Strummer reference for lack of actual proof.

I removed reference to Joe Strummer. He was not involved in or mentioned in the episode & there is no evidence that the title refers to him specifically. Much more likely it refers to the act of "strumming" a guitar. Weasel Fetlocks (talk) 12:50, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
