Derogatory Category

Lemonsquares, please refrain from adding the derogatory category "Statutory rapists" to politicians who had sex with 16 or 17 year old people (i.e Gerry Studds, Buz Lukens, and Dan Crane). In none of these cases was the subject charged with, let alone convicted of, statutory rape. In all three cases, the people it is alleged the subject had sex with were OVER the age of consent. With Lukens and Crane, this violates WP:BLP, wikipedia's policy about biographies of living people. Studds is dead, but his reputation deserves no less care because of it. Thanks. In a very nice bit of jiu-jitsu, I've wound up hurting Gerry Studds's memory and helping Dan Crane and Buz Lukens' reputations. For now. Well-played. David in DC (talk) 20:22, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Lemonsquares (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I don't believe I've done anything wrong. I've been a productive user of Wikipedia. I editing using Wikipedia. I follow the rules. I see no reason why I should be blocked.

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=I don't believe I've done anything wrong. I've been a productive user of Wikipedia. I editing using Wikipedia. I follow the rules. I see no reason why I should be blocked. |3 = ~~~~}}

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

{{unblock reviewed |1=I don't believe I've done anything wrong. I've been a productive user of Wikipedia. I editing using Wikipedia. I follow the rules. I see no reason why I should be blocked. |decline = {{subst:Decline reason here}} ~~~~}}

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:

{{unblock reviewed |1=I don't believe I've done anything wrong. I've been a productive user of Wikipedia. I editing using Wikipedia. I follow the rules. I see no reason why I should be blocked. |accept = accept reason here ~~~~}}
