Surat Gujarat Airport is a domestic airport (IATA: STV, ICAO: VASU), located in Magdala, near Surat in the Western Indian state of Gujarat

The total area of the airport complex (including runway, tarmac and terminal) is 312 Hectares.

Apron: 60 x 90 metres

Taxiway: 23 x 200 metres

Runway: 1550 meters, to be extended to 2250 meters (7382 ft) by Decemeber 2008. Parallel runways to be constructed.

Situated at: Magdala Road

The Surat domestic airport is the result of the long struggle of Surtis for an international airport in Surat[1], which ended in a compromise - the establishment of a domestic airport. The airport was inaugurated on 6th May 2007 with an Indian Airlines Airbus 319 flight to Delhi on 1240 I.S.T. The flight was flagged off by Indian civil aviation minister Praful Patel.

The new airport is accessible through Gaurav Path, a newly developed express-road at Piplod. There is currently no means of public transport to and from the Surat Airport.
