I wonder if you can help out. The talk page consensus was to change parameter "Famous works" to "Works". I changed this on the template and documentation pages. However, now the parameter doesn't work on pages such as Vincent van Gogh, which still have "Famous works": it does work if "Famous works" is changed in the infobox to "Works". Does this mean every existing use of "Famous works" in the infobox has to be changed to "Works"? If so, presumably this is a bot job - any suggestions for a suitable bot runner to do the job? Thanks. Ty 03:28, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. I changed "famous works" twice on the documentation page[1] and three times on the template page.[2] Which of those are parameter name and which are displayed text? Ty 04:04, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
I've put in a bot request on User_talk:Mets501#Template:Infobox_Artist, but I'd still like to find out the info requested above. Thanks. Ty 05:18, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. That's very helpful. Ty 23:16, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

Pacific team

Can you go round the race report articles for 1994/95 and make sure the links for the Pacific team direct to the Pacific Racing page not via a redirect. Same goes for McLaren, most of them look like when editing [[Team McLaren|McLaren]] when it should just be purely [[McLaren]]. Thanks, D.M.N. (talk) 14:06, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Could a AWB run do this ? (Does DH have AWB ?) Guroadrunner (talk) 04:48, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
I used to have AWB but a couple of months ago it told me my current version was no longer supported and made me download a newer version which I've never been able to get to install correctly. (And, having installed the new version, I found I couldn't successfully reinstall the old version either). I ended up making the changes manually on the 21st of July. DH85868993 (talk) 06:49, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
While I never understood how to get AWB to make edits, shortly after having AWB I received the same problem that I needed an update, but the program would not do so. I can emphathize. Guroadrunner (talk) 11:20, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Derek Bell

Went looking for the discussion at WP:MOTOR and found, in a discussion we both contributed to, that (racing driver) was the standard not (auto racer). Any reason? --Falcadore (talk) 02:31, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Grand Prix Results

Have removed the Bernard White / Team Chamaco Collect results from the BRM Grand Prix results page & Otto Stuppacher from the Tyrrell Racing page. I suspect some of the other BRM entries are neither works nor Parnell ones, but I don't have the references to hand. Mr Larrington (talk) 10:46, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Re:Disambig tag

Yea, I guess you should add the project banner on the talk page. Me and somebody else are mass tagging disambiguation talk pages. Cheers. Trance addict - Tiesto - Above and Beyond 05:43, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

Ret/DNS (F1)

Well, there are many other races where Wikipedia also have different information as formula1.com. 2005 United States Grand Prix (Michelin) and 1999 British Grand Prix (Michael Schumacher) for example. BleuDXXXIV (talk) 10:09, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Possible typo in Image:Downtown Detroit Street Circuit.svg

Hi Will. Thanks for your great work with motor racing track maps. I noticed what appears to be a typo in Image:Downtown Detroit Street Circuit.svg - I think "Chyrsler" should be "Chrysler". Cheers. DH85868993 (talk) 13:09, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Also, in Image:Estroril.svg (which should be Image:Estoril.svg?), "Aryton Senna" should probably be "Ayrton Senna". DH85868993 (talk) 15:09, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for the pointing out the typos. However, I don't know when I will be able to fix them. If you have Inkscape or another SVG editor, feel free to make the corrections yourself. Just make sure you use the version that has the text on paths (see the version history) when needed and let me know when you are done so I can update my local copy. Finally, please remember that the images aren't on Wikipedia, they are at Commons. Will (Talk - contribs) 01:06, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Re: Unnesting

I think I pulled it out of its place so I could see what category it was. Then I found out that this kind of material is written on nested tables. (Not counting out that it might have been for aesthetics or some other reason). I don't really remember, but I've nested it again. Thanks for calling it to my attention. -- Guroadrunner (talk) 04:45, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Seasons 63-65

Hi, is there an error or do i miss something why is Alfa Romeo listed in constructor list in those seasons? List of Formula One Grand Prix winners (constructors), 1963 Formula One season, 1965 Formula One season --— Typ932T | C  11:46, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi thanks for explanation, looks still odd to see it as constructor... --— Typ932T | C  12:01, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Update errors

Hi again. Thanks for the alert and my apologies for overlooking these replacements. I'll try amending the infobox code now in order to accommodate them. Sardanaphalus (talk) 10:01, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

RE: Autódromo Oscar Alfredo Gálvez

Hi DH, yes, the Buenos Aires Circuit has been renamed after the Gálvez brothers. A source says Buenos Aires Legislature issued a law regarding this in early July 2008, just before the Buenos Aires 200km race. Juan and Oscar Gálvez were the best racing drivers in domestic series as Fangio was the best Argentine racing driver all around the world. I have failed to find a reference in English - most of those articles are in Spanish. Regards, Mxcatania (talk) 02:25, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Just got undeleted. --Falcadore (talk) 21:35, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

And redeleted, I see. DH85868993 (talk) 15:34, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Autódromo Juan y Oscar Gálvez

I noticed that you have moved the article Autódromo Oscar Alfredo Gálvez to Autódromo Juan y Oscar Gálvez based on a blogspot source. Blogspot doesn't qualify as a reliable source, because anyone can write anything on a blog. Do any reliable sources mention the rename? Because the official website of the circuit calls it "Autodromo de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, without any reference to Galvez. Aecis·(away) talk 07:40, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Cut and paste move

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Kojima (disambiguation) a different title by copying its content and pasting it into Kojima. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is considered undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. I do realize that Ciao 90 had already done the copy and paste part, but rather than erasing the duplicated content and redirecting the page, you should have requested a history merge as I have now done. Thanks for your understanding and for your help on the project! Ashanda (talk) 04:55, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

1950 Formula One season

--Pannie196 (talk) 11:19, 23 October 2008 (UTC)Hello, it is a pleasure to be part of such a great project. I intend to create Teams/drivers lists for every season that has not one yet. Should I also include in my 1950-1960 lists the teams and drivers that took part in the Indy 500 - which, of course, counted towards the World Championship, but was run under different regulations? And moreover, should F2 entries that appeared in F1 races in 1957, 1958, 1966, 1967 and 1969 be included?

One more thing, I noticed that the term 'FIA Formula One World Championship' is used for all seasons, I believe the 'FIA' World Championship only begun in 1981.

Regards,

Pannie196

Thank you for your input. Now as far the 'FIA' term is concerned, I believe that since there has already beeen a discussion about it and a generally accpeted term has been agreed upon, it would be better to use the same convention. As you might see, I have ommited the term 'Formula One' from the 1952 list and I intend to do the same for 1953.
Moreover, I see your point about focusing on the teams that contested the majority of the races, however, where you would draw the line? For example, FISA entered Giancarlo Baghetti for only one race and won it. So the entry should not be included? Furthermore, I feel the team and drivers lists should be in accordance with the 'final standings' tables that follow.
Finally, I have not decided which criteria is best to use to order my lists. I have gone for entry numbers for 1950, but for 1951 I opted for race participations; this system seems to 'reward' the most consistent teams. Any ideas?--Pannie196 (talk) 16:45, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
