  • A Super-Capital-class vessel called a Dreadnaught (nickname "Archangel") was developed by Kiith Somtaaw during the Beast conflict in "Homeworld: Cataclysm" (2000). It is a cheaper successor to the protagonist Kushan Heavy Cruiser from "Homeworld" (1999) since Somtaaw did not have access to the same higher-quality assembly facilities or technologies. Though only equipped with two single Ion Cannon turrets and four heavy projectile turrets, it makes up for its lack of heavier energy weapons with six all-range guided-missile launchers, and a later Repulsor field projector add-on. Its compact "U"-shaped profile is modeled after the super-advanced technology seen on Bentusi Trading Ships .
  • A Capital-class vessel found in the broken hulk of an ancient alien Progenitor derelict was called a Dreadnought, featured in "Homeworld 2" (2003); though it is unrelated to the Archangel-class vessel listed above from "Homeworld: Cataclysm". It features a powerful Phased Cannon Array in the front of the hull which can destroy all but the largest vessels in a single volley, as well as seven smaller pulsed cannon point-defense weapons and a 'chin'-mounted long-range anti-capital-ship plasma bomb launcher, and it is easily the rival to both the Hiigaran and Vaygr Battlecruisers in the game. The Dreadnaught salvaged by the Pride of Hiigara's fleet is one of two known ships of identical design, and together they are known as the "Gatekeepers of Sajuuk"- giant control ships which can activate the powerful Progenitor hyperspace gate at Balcora.
• The Final Fantasy series features two battle airships that were called Dreadnaught. In Final Fantasy II, the Dreadnaught is a giant airship used by the Palamecian Empire to destroy towns. It is capable of capturing smaller airships such as Cid's airship. In Final Fantasy XII, the flagship of the 8th Fleet of the Western Armada of the Archadian Empire is known as the Dreadnaught Leviathan. It is under the command of Judge Ghis.
• Dreadnought is a polearm user class in Korean MMORPG Lineage 2. It is a 3rd class Human Warrior, a more powerful version of Warlord polearm class. Dreadnoghts have huge health - it can be boosted up to 12'000 HP, they use polearms against large number of enemies. They are not strong in 1 on 1 combat, but their skills are very much needed in teamwork and mass PVP.
• In Kingdom Hearts II, the final gummi ship level is entitled "The Assault on the Dreadnaught," and involves fighting a massive ship like nothing else seen in the game as well as normal enemies.
